I have had this system installed in my home for 8 years now, it was installed by myself in 2015. I have had the usual problems with wireless systems like needing to replace batteries periodically but other than that it has been great and I have thoroughly enjoyed having it as the home alarm, far superior to any domestic detector. As long as it continues to work and perform as it should and pass the tests I carry out on it every so often then it shall stay, but when it does eventually get beyond repair I will replace it with the firecell system, which I would hope would be just as good as or better than the firepoint. I normally don't like wireless alarm equipment but the firepoint really was brilliant, an absolute credit to EMS and long may already installed systems continue to work.
The Firecell system is pretty much just Apollo Xpander with EMS logos on it. The equipment is good but the pricing is not reflective of the only partial upgrade it offers. 5000 Firepoint systems are easy to keep working as parts are abundant on ebay from huge ripouts such as from Hinckley Point power station, which is where some parts from my first Firepoint came from.
