  • Badger cubs and their mother are minding their own business, foraging near their sett as they do on most days, when a couple of lambs and a ewe arrive to disturb the tranquil scene.
    None mean the badgers any harm and equally, the badgers will not hurt lambs or ewe. The lambs curiosity, though, draws them towards the sett, and the badgers scuttle away.
    But eventually, these unusual companions learn to tolerate each other's presence until, that is, one of the sheep 'baas' so loudly that a badger cub runs back down to the sett and does not re-appear.
