Usually a mess. A lot of mess. Haha. I’d love to give table runners, and like, really nice bowl cosies but I have never been able to make nice looking ones 😢.
@@ScrapFabricLove I’m a fairly new quilter … that being said … nothing is really a quick sew yet, ergo I love seeing everyone else’s ideas… but last year I made ugly sweater mug rugs and sent them out as christmas greetings … that was way fun!
I use bowl cozies all the time and I have given lots of them as gifts. If they are for the microwave, be sure to use 100% cotton fabric, thread and batting. In the US i use Wrap-n- Zap. My daughter is making 65 Humbug Bags (triangle shaped) for her figure skating students. I'm going to try your coaster idea.
I love your method of making gift bags! I’ve tried many other kinds, but always come back to making them like you do. Thanks for all of your great content 😊
I have been making lots of notebook/book covers following your instructions. They work really well, are suitable for men, women and kids as you can choose fabric to suit the recipient. I have also used up lots of crumbs and crumb fabric making these. They also use up odds and ends of wadding/batting. They are really great and fun too. Thank you so much for this, I will have to try some of the other ideas too. X
I found you when I was looking for a good journal cover tutorial. Yours was the best. I've stuck with you because I like your scrappy style. Good channel! I would add the quick pillow case. They are nice in holiday or themed fabrics.
Kristen, thank you for an idea packed video! Not only the great ideas, but you are generous in linking others and their ideas. What a giving person you are. I am also enjoying the 12 Days of Quiltmas you put together.
KRISTEN!!♥️ Thank you for reminding some of the older viewers of your channel of tutorials you had done. You have so many amazing ideas for sewing and non sewing viewers. I also want to tell new viewers to the channel that have not signed up for your blog “YOU DON’T KNIW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING!!!” ♥️♥️ You always have things on there to recycle and reuse things of all kinds. I’m loving Quiltmas again this year. Y’all always come up with beautiful creations! Thank you for all you do for the RUclips community. I get excited every time I see a new video from you pop up. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season! Lot of love, Laura XX 💙🪡🧵
@@ScrapFabricLove awwww thank you!!♥️♥️ I so wish we didn’t have this little creek between us. 🤣🤣 If we were closer we would definitely have to do meetups!! Happy to say I am a long time viewer. I happened across a screenshot of one of your early videos of where you bought your fabric just the other day. Would have to roll back through and see when it was but I was trying to declutter my pics because the lovely cloud is soooo full.☁️🤦🏻♀️ 🤣🤣♥️♥️
First time viewer. These are 15 great gift ideas. Will e used daily and so easy to personalize for the recipient. I made my daughter seasonal pillow covers (1 set per season) plus two everyday sets from material that have two of Van Gogh's paintings on them for her sofa. She loves that she can easily change the season within her room with a quick change of covers for her pillows.
Kristen-it’s very nice to meet. These ideas are fantastic. I’m not sure which one to start on First. Thank you so much for sharing. Watching from Avon Park, Florida. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thank you for this. I so appreciate all these great and wonderful ideas that you put together and other creators have shared their ideas as well. I’m 68 and I’m running out of ideas., and time. This is so helpful. Some of the kids are grown and moved away. Most of the grandchildren are adults and getting married. It seems like pulling teeth to get anyone to come over please no offense to anyone who’s in the professional of dental hygiene. Oh by the way, if I haven’t mentioned it before, I’ll mention it now. I just love love love that colorful piece of fabric behind you actually, I love all of them, but the one that looks sort of I don’t know modern plaidish. I’d love to know where to acquire it. Oops, I shouldn’t really be thinking that way I have way more fabric than I know what to do with.
Glad you liked the video! Don’t mean the plaid on the wall under my design wall? That’s wallpaper not fabric. I got it from spoonflower though so it’s possible you could get the same pattern printed on fabric. Can’t remember what it’s called though! Sorry!
So many ideas and your way of telling about them is great. Not too much info. and not too little. My favorite is gift card holders, gift bags, and dog bandanas but I am planning to sew some placemats, hot pads, and runners this year. (I'd better get on it asap before its too late ha ha.) Subbed!
What is your go to quick gift to sew?

@reaanneservia3866 sounds cool!
Usually make a set of pillow cases using the “burrito” method. 😊
Fab!
Just had soup for lunch and used my bowl cozy. I need some new coasters and will make some soon. Thank you.
And I made a couple dozen Xmas cards but there is a postal strike on 😞
(I dig the tiger lamp)
Thanks!
