those were my favs too!! Mostly because it just "works". Because we can make sense of it being in the air like that. I think FIREWORKS would have been _perfect_ for this. because it would still make sense as it disperses haha
Oh yeah, fireworks woulda definitely been good one! I didn’t think about how those subjects were all airborne ones. That probably does make it seem more appealing to the brain.

yea, and there's not really any way to salvage the colored rice after it's been thrown so if you want to do it again you have to start from scratch...

Though, now that they're in a larger studio they probably have the budget (and need) to hire out a cleaning company. But I can't imagine how they'd know what's a mess, that needs cleaning, and what's just the natural chaos of an ongoing Jazzy art project. 🤨🤔😵💫

Jazza is living the dream. I always was told 'you can be good at anything but not everything' but jazza is proof this isn't true. You can totally make a life just trying anything and everything and I love that for him.
It would be really interesting to try with only rice dyed in the primary colors, and see you can mix/blend them together (like primary color paints)

Cleaning up is easy. Sorting the rice so you can draw another piece, that's the hard part.
@@Acaykath well you can dyed the un-sorted rice but it will take time like in the setup
Jazza’s ability to always be good at every art medium and be able to bring his own touch to every piece is exceptional
Just seeing the shear joy on Jazza's face makes this video worthwhile.
i've been watching Jazza's video's eversince I was 7. I was a big fan of the draw with Jazza series on abc 3 and use to follow his tutorials everytime the show was on. He never fails to create impressive, inspiring, creative funny videos. Best content creator on yt!
the creativity flowing on this channel is immense
It's like you see the art in the seconds leading up to and after Thanos has snapped it out of existence xD
If you ever end up doing this again, I'd recommend building up a bigger layer of the rice (so the art is extra thicc) AND making the art a little more scrunched vertically, so that when you flip it into the air, it stretches into itself rather than just immediately apart.

It's amazing how the way he feels changes through out the video. At first he says he has this "game face," but I think that face was actually just expressing how he was so tense, hoping it was going to look great. In the end though, he had done a lot of different ones and when you look at his face as he throws them into the air, I could just see the genuine happiness that he had as he made each masterpiece. That, my friends, is the true joy of creating art.
what happens to the rice afterwards? do you just,,,,painstakingly sort it out by color again, or does it get thrown out?

Well it's technically soaked in edible materials, so while it may not taste good after being soaked in vinegar, it *_is_* edible
This is honestly one of my favorite videos you've ever done as amazing as the other art pieces are that you create this seemed like a lot of fun and the big ones came out really cool and the music with it *chefs kiss* AAAAAMAZING
So, I thought "Fart" was going to be my favorite one....but I ended up Loving the Hummingbird and Balloons rice art the most!!! Amazing job as usual! Jazza is awesome!!!

I love this so much. It's something so frivolous and whimsical, and yet, the work that goes into the images can be really a lot, while the art that's created is ultra-ephemeral... It conjures thoughts of sand-painted mandalas.

I don't know about the tiktokers who throw it outside like on grass etc, but Jazza colored the rice with food dye so he might as well use it afterwords? I hope so at least ahah

I just went to my closest grocery store and asked them if they had compromised rice .i.e if the rice bag tore and it can't sell or somehow due to a small tear some insect got inside .

There is more than enough food to fully feed the entire human population. The problem is logistics of actually being able to get the food to places that need it, not the amount of food.

@@ItsLtime while on the surface it seems like there is no direct link, if you stop to think about it, if people in developed countries buy less grains and waste less during a period of increasing food shortages, demand falls and the price falls just a bit overall, helping people on the margins like food insecure South Sudan. Our individual choices do have a small and diffuse effect indeed.

@@suburbanhomestead Tysm for your great response :) While I apologize for my rude-sounding answer, I think that for this to be effective we need to all exercise this practice. Now that I think about it, it will help. I was also in a mood where I try to give the most intense answer. While I do agree, I think there is a freedom degree to this, where sometimes they can exercise a rare exception this practice of "Buy less, Waste less" and maybe it was the case. Maybe they do the saving food and buying less most of the time. I think this is more of a one-time thing, so it's not as bad. We do need to target the waste of food.

@@ItsLtime I appreciate the cordial answer my friend. It takes an honorable person to react as you did and do the deep thinking. I also agree that people should be free to do this and that this is a biodegradable material which makes it even better to experiment with. The concern is more symbolic and has to do with the danger of normalizing food waste to mostly food secure audiences while there is a crisis mounting for the insecure. This is where creativity could set in and perhaps he could have explored using other alternatives like bird seed, using the natural earth tones. Just something to think about.
