I have the LXT makita track saw and 2x18v weed trimmer. Do they have a great 18 hand planer? I also would like an upgraded (HD) recip saw or is a Milwaukee corded the best to go with?
At these prices, I wouldn't call the extra battery free.

I have the Makita LXT metal deck mower. It’s a beast…one big knock on this is that the handle is not foldable. So storage could be an issue but otherwise this thing has been good for two mowing seasons so far. Although probably would have went with the Milwaukee tho for an extra hundo. But I was somewhat vested in the Makita ecosystem, along with several other platforms. Enjoying the content.👍🏻

Hey Clint, i have the makita metal deck mower and we love it! my wife is the one who uses it the most and she loves it. We had our first one go out right at 3 years and tried the ryobi 40v equivalent but did not like the ergonomics and went back with makita. Now the first makita would have been under warranty if I would have kept the receipt....but so far were for makita on 80% of our outdoor tools.

@palemonalvarado2929 that's very possible. These only cut so much, so a 5 acre cut may be a stretch on a single charge 🤣

In my opinion, Makita has basically run themselves into the ground and they seem unwilling to try and course correct. I know it’ll never happen, but personally I’d like to see Home Depot drop Makita and bring in some of the Chervon brands; Flex, Skil, Ego and so on. I know it’ll never happen but I can dream.

Ya really gotta know how to separate the reviews from defects, and user error. I bought a Toro mower last year, and there were a lot of complaints about the bag spewing grass back in their faces from the chte not being "closed properly", but I knew exactly what the issue was. The bag has a plastic channel that locks into a rail on the mower's chute where they were saying the grass was coming from. My guess is these people were too stupid to know you have to push that channel onto the rail so it's sealed on. I bought it anyway, and I was right. The channel snapped into place with a little bit of force, and it's never shot grass at me. 1 star reviews because people aren't smart enough to know what they're working with, and blaming it on their equipment.
I agree Demon. I've seen people leave reviews on grass seed and only give one star saying "I haven't planted it yet, I'll get back to you " lol
By no means am I a brand snob. But I'd assume anyone buying ryobi lawn care equipment shut their refrigerator door with their hip
