Nicolas Cage was almost Superman, was Ghost Rider, was Big Daddy, and now Noir Spider-Man. He's in his early 60's and his undying love for comic books is just awesome. If if the end result isn't great, he always gives an interesting performance and goes all in.
Another reason why I think his name was changed is in the Sony contracts for spider man, it says he's legally not allowed to drink alcohol or kill people unless he has the symbiote suit. Spider man noir does both of those things, so if they were to name him Peter Parker he wouldn't be allowed to do those things
Yep, a lot of the things commonly found in Noir stories go against what they allow Peter to do. Its probably the main reason why they went with Ben Reilly.
3:33 in the noir comics, Uncle Ben is eaten alive by the Vulture who is working for Norman Osborn (whos a gangster). Hopefully they don't deviate from that part of his origin but I guess we will see.
