I tried it and it was pretty loose and I put the flowers on the wrong side lol this is a great tutorial though
I LOVED this! The way I've been doing them is way more complicated! at least the finalizing part of the braid.

This braid in particular was suppose to be for Yucatan, but we did not finish it all completely. All you would have to do is add the additional flowers ( choice of color). Since in this tutorial the braid was teal we would have to add the 3-4 Bloomed Teal roses. ( if you can't find the color of rose just simply get a white rose and paint it) we will try to make a tutorial on this. For the Laureles Yucatan we use the color that you have for your Rebozo for the braid and Flowers. I know for some other groups have all the same color ( red). In this case you can go ahead and use the two red Roses with one yellow flower. All flowers of course must be bloomed. If there is a different way in which you wish to see it send us a picture. :)

another question for colima, I kind of have an idea but not 100% sure what type of flowers is it that should be used? I know they are not roses, unless I am in the wrong!

Lets us check in to it and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Most likely Roses pero for Yucatan you can either use Carnations or Roses. I dont want to give you a wrong answer so let me check in to it ok. :)

Here’s a tip if you are looking for a Sinaloa hairpiece follow this and then add flowers around the hairpiece DONT add flowers all around the hairpiece

Your request might take a little longer since it will consist of crocheting. The molote itself has a smaller braid inside which will help you determine the size you want the molote to be.

The Veracruz jarocho is bmnot the same as this one. It is like 4 braids combined, looking like a high crown

Hola Celeste,
The Veracruz braid is done the same way as the braid in this tutorial. The only thing that changes is the color of the ribbon. It depends on your group if they want you to use either 3 different shades of the color of your choosing or just one solid color for the entire braid. For the flowers, you will then have to select 3-4 bloomed roses of the color of your ribbon. If you cannot find any bloomed roses of a specific color you can always paint your (white) roses with acrylic paint. We will have a tutorial on how to do that a bit later on.
Hope this helps :) I can also put up a picture of how the braid will look at the end. I am working on one this weekend and will be happy to post up the final result.
