I agree Michelle, I been following her that long too. I noticed how rude the comments are even on IG. They attack her and Michael. It’s really sad how miserable people are. She may have get a comment blocker on her RUclips channel. It picks up negative comments and removes them. 😢

Karen, I am almost 70 years old and spent way too much of my young, beautiful life paying attention to jealous people's taunts. Dear Karen. Thank you. My 82 years young stepmom has had to slow down and I know it’s very frustrating for her. And like you said, her feelings have been reflected in how she presents herself. It seems to have caused her to not want to enjoy her things. She is the embodiment of LOVE to me. So I treated her to a tiny comfy capsule wardrobe from some of the new H&M line. Silky animal print lounge pants, a soft chocolate brown hoodie, furry scuffs, a cargo white shirt. Her reaction was the Girly we all are. Smiles, squeals, laughing and twirling in our new things. I told her to wear these clothes every day in some form or fashion. Dig out her other stuff and wear it too. Truly these little things go a long way to help heal the mind,body,even as our soul prospers. Thank you Karen❤

I am 61 and love to dress well. It makes me feel confident and happy. It doesn’t matter your budget. I use to work in a casual office setting and everyone was amazed how well I dressed. When I retired I stopped wearing makeup most days. Now, I am a skincare fanatic and I'm happy with my 62 year old skin. I do my daytime skincare routine and sunscreen and that's it. I do love wearing makeup but as I've gotten older I just started wearing less and less. My style is now more casual/athleisure. My goal is to look put together but natural. I don't care what anyone thinks about how I dress or look. I dress for myself. I love changing my look too. I have always been the single, bougie auntie. Karen, you are gorgeous, with or without makeup. Your style is always phenomenal and on point. People who are insecure and lack confidence are the ones who hate on the rest of us. I’m going to be 62 and will retire soon. Concealer and mascara with some lip gloss works for me. I have more fun stacking my bracelets and thinking of different ways to wear my clothes. You inspire me in that regard. Don’t pay attention to negativity. ❤❤
Same here. I’ll be turning 51 in december and I barely do a full face beat. Bronzing drops, little blush and mascara… chef’s kiss! Only when I have an event, I put more effort in my makeup look. Otherwise, I cannot be bothered. Also, my skin has been much healthier.❤
It's sad how miserable people try to make others feel as bad as they do. Even if you did look rough, which you did not, who cares. I get feedback all the time from friends and family that I’m too into makeup, fashion etc, as if it’s superficial or facile but they are missing the point which is that taking time to express myself through my style etc is about my mindset, mood, it’s an act of self care to spend time getting ready and curating my closet and beauty kit. I love myself enough to make the effort and when people say to me ‘oh I don’t have time’ they mean to dig me out but actually it’s sad they can’t prioritise feeling good and prefer to be a martyr

It is true that is something more than clothes: Last year, my boss, concerned about me, asked a colleague if she knew if I was okay because he noticed I looked different, even changing my way of dressing, which struck him as unusual. I was in the beginning of a burnout, and he perceived it in my clothing. My way of dressing at that time was appropriate and he realised something that I hadn’t realised yet. And one thing more, the broad and complex perspective through which you view things, including clothing, is not something everyone can perceive. You have the gift of seeing all those connections that many either struggle to see, don’t want to see, or aren’t interested in seeing.❤

I do not look at ppl and say my goodness they need make up. I'm just not that person. However, you make a valid point that those comments can hit the wrong person at the wrong time! That one negative comment can unnecessarily hurt. Sometimes, I wish comments could be better controlled. I will admit there are times a comment could persuade me to not even start or even finish a video.

We all look rough without makeup. Your enthusiasm about fashion and makeup is endearing and shows that you are in your purpose! As someone who struggles with chronic illness, online shopping (even at marshals ☺️) is a nice distraction when I’m laying in bed. I am 61 and love to dress well. It makes me feel confident and happy. It doesn’t matter your budget. I use to work in a casual office setting and everyone was amazed how well I dressed. When I retired I stopped wearing makeup most days. Now, I am a skincare fanatic and I'm happy with my 62 year old skin. I do my daytime skincare routine and sunscreen and that's it. I do love wearing makeup but as I've gotten older I just started wearing less and less. My style is now more casual/athleisure. My goal is to look put together but natural. I don't care what anyone thinks about how I dress or look. I dress for myself. I love changing my look too. I have always been the single, bougie auntie. Karen, you are gorgeous, with or without makeup. Your style is always phenomenal and on point. People who are insecure and lack confidence are the ones who hate on the rest of us. I get feedback all the time from friends and family that I’m too into makeup, fashion etc, as if it’s superficial or facile but they are missing the point which is that taking time to express myself through my style etc is about my mindset, mood, it’s an act of self care to spend time getting ready and curating my closet and beauty kit. I love myself enough to make the effort and when people say to me ‘oh I don’t have time’ they mean to dig me out but actually it’s sad they can’t prioritise feeling good and prefer to be a martyr

It is true that is something more than clothes: Last year, my boss, concerned about me, asked a colleague if she knew if I was okay because he noticed I looked different, even changing my way of dressing, which struck him as unusual. I was in the beginning of a burnout, and he perceived it in my clothing. My way of dressing at that time was appropriate and he realised something that I hadn’t realised yet.
And one thing more, the broad and complex perspective through which you view things, including clothing, is not something everyone can perceive. You have the gift of seeing all those connections that many either struggle to see, don’t want to see, or aren’t interested in seeing.❤

Love this channel 😘 ❤❤❤ Yes, it's tricky about that make up comment. As I get older, I try to put on a little something just for my own comfort. I do not look at ppl and say my goodness they need make up. I'm just not that person. However, you make a valid point that those comments can hit the wrong person at the wrong time! That one negative comment can unnecessarily hurt. Sometimes, I wish comments could be better controlled. I will admit there are times a comment could persuade me to not even start or even finish a video.
