Do you play exclusively Evan’s heads? Do you find them easier to tune than Remo? I watched your video on the EC2 clear heads and they sounded great. Maybe a little less sustain than pinstripes.
I’m using aquarians drumheads on this sonor drum kit, but i used a lot of evans too, to me they’re all the same To tune, i tune them by ears and i’m not really demanding about that. I would say, the easiest drumhead i tuned on toms were the aquarians performance 2
@ Really? I’ve been wondering about Aquarian again lately. I have only used the super kick one and two and it was over 20 years ago, I’ve never used their Tom heads but I’ve actually been wondering about the performance series. I need a warm focused attack with short sustain. Ears get fatigued fast from a decade of not wearing ear protection.
@ the performance 2 give like a flat sound, so not a lot of sustain, and about the warm or cold stuff it depends more about which wood your drum kit is so I cannot know, personally I like Evans and Aquarians, I mix it on my drum kit, even if I had to choose only one it would be Aquarian but it’s not easy to find it in France, anyway you need to try stuff until you find what drum head is for you
