The Barcelona Airport is very easy to navigate. We quickly found the well marked entrance to the local metro, which connects you from the airport to numerous parts of the city. We used the self-serve kiosks where you can buy a metro pass, and were on our way in a matter of minutes. If you're in Barcelona for more than a day, the metro card multi-use ticket is the economical way to go. We bought a 2 day (48 hour) pass that easily paid for itself twice over (15,20 Euro). We did a lot of sightseeing in those 48 hours, and if bought individually, all the single trips I took would have added up to over 28 Euro.
