    Question : in this part ruclips.net/video/l5DGk14JHuc/видео.html If the shopper had concealed the item in a bag? would the RFID detect it ?

      Kenneth Kaigu , yes, RFID works through bags and boxes. No line of sight is needed.

      Yes it would... if the user does not remove the RFID tag or if the thief is naive enough not to use a metallic bag... ohh, by the way: if you place your hand just over the tag, it most probably won't be read: RFID is not for that, RFID is for ID.

      Fixed readers sell at about $600 a piece and handheld readers about $1000 each. You may live with one one handheld or some fixed and couple of handhelds depending on your application.
