I actually started a RUclips show purely because I wanted to talk about how this game needed a remake. I talked about other games, but this jet force Gemini was the main reason.
This game WAS MY CHILDHOOD. I remember getting a VHS in the mail hyping up this game, and I fucking needed it then and there. Really excited to see you guys play this! =)
longarmsshow Yeah me too. My brother and I watched it over and over for some reason. We were so pumped for it and then spent a million hours in the game
Josh polishin off Paul. Nick's kid in the future. This is real man love. Acknowledge it and accept it. Just what good friends do. *edit* 15:00 don't worry, either the internet or Uncle Josh will teach you. It's okay. Life is pretty complex yet simple.
Dudes.... I LOVED this game as a kid. It's a little rough around the edges, sure, but the way the gameplay works makes it awesome. If it had modern camera controls it would be near perfect.
I owned this game back in the day and played the hell out of it. It's a lot of fun for the most part! One issue though is that actually beating the game requires rescuing all the tribals and doing a bunch of stuff that at first appears to just be side stuff, which can be a bit of a grind, but overall it's a worthy experience and has a surprising amount of extra stuff to find. The controls do take some getting used to, though.
I'm glad the boys understand that Perfect Dark made every other N64 shooter obsolete. Sick of all this Goldeneye bullshit. Perfect Dark is literally the same game, just improved in every way.
Totally unironic, this was one of my all time favorite games as a kid. Just like everyone else in the comments, I'd kill for a remake or modern sequel.
Game is hard to play these days and getting every tribal to fight the final boss is bullshit....but I still love this game. It's surprisingly gruesome for a T rated game (you can collect the heads of the bad guys you kill and it unlocks stuff) and has a lot of personality. When it clicks, the game is a lot of fun... Goddamn, if that intro didn't bring a tear to my eye. I'm gonna miss that crazy bastard...
Neat game, great episode. You guys are going to run out of N64 games at this rate. I don't think you've done Snowboard Kids / Snowboard Kids 2, either one of those is a superb (3 player racing) option with very clean and bright graphics for the N64.
This has to be one of the absolute best N64 games, but it's definitely not for everyone. Even I myself found it tough to get into at first. The key to truly enjoying the game is to really master the controls, and they're not easy. Once you get comfortable with it though, it becomes amazing.
That sleep twitch outro was fucking gold. I love you guys. Aaaand gonna say it, right here, right now: there is not a single third party N64 game that doesn't suck loads o' chodes. Every good game on that console was either first- or second-party, be it Nintendo itself or Rare or HAL. I dare anyone to try to think of one, even ONE third party N64 game that didn't either look like garbage, play like garbage, or both. Why were third party N64 games all so godawful? You look at the Playstation by comparison and there's like literally over a thousand solid or even fantastic third party games on that thing. What was it about the N64 that made third party devs swallow their tongues? Hell, this game was even made by Rare and it looks like shit and doesn't seem to play very well either.
Loved this game back in the day. Shame I never beat it because of that stupid crap where you have to backtrack to find all the tribals. I'd probably be less put off by that kind of thing nowadays, but back then I really couldn't stand collecting arbitrary items that served no purpose other than barring progress. I needed my games (excluding RPGs) to be either 100% linear, or if collecting items was necessary for progress then they needed to be actual upgrades that gave access to new areas while also upgrading your character, such as Metroid. Was a blast until that point though, and even afterwards I still continued enjoying the multiplayer mode with friends.
It's still so weird to me that this isn't a classic. I mean, I had it and so did a few people I knew, plus it was by RARE! Seems like barely anyone played it for some reason. The controls are the biggest hurdle for sure, but it's an awesome space adventure with my favorite N64 soundtrack and has the level of Rare polish to it. The multiplayer deathmatch is tacked-on garbage, though. I'll give you that.
RIP squirrel respect i KNEW this was a josh edit lmaoooo josh is all over this episode what a great job thanks brian lol that games looks bad lol i wwould not play it it STINKS game over lol anyways you guys are awesome thanks so much for all the hardwork and great new content josh is my favorite josh is the best hey josh, fuck that rabbit. thats the day you learned about mortality lol rip tho
Fuck yeah, god damn Continue 'n shit.
I wish Rare would do a remake of this game. It was my jam as a kid.
CyberRonin they have it for xbone rare collection. Comes with every other great thing on N64
I actually started a RUclips show purely because I wanted to talk about how this game needed a remake. I talked about other games, but this jet force Gemini was the main reason.
Microsoft killed Rare. Rare is just a lifeless zombie.
I loved this game. I too wish they would re-release it.
i remember playing this as a kid and thinking
"jesus christ this is more violent than Turok"
Good editing Josh. I was ROFLing with the squirrel story. Love the work you all put in.
R.I.P. Squirrel. We hardly knew ye.
This game was my jam when I was a kid!!
Whoomp there it is!
I beat the hell out of this game like 20 yrs ago. lol
respect for the spin doctors sound bite
Two of my favorite games growing up in back to back weeks or Continue? I was already a fan, you guys. You don't need to try so hard on my behalf.
Perfect Dark was the bee's knees
3:51 secret cat in the top right corner
Saddest moment in any game: when you accidentally kill a Tribal and collect his head.
Good thing old King Jeff can rewind time to let you undo that.
RIP squirrel
RIP

I adored this game growing up. Such a fun game!

God I loved this game so much as a kid. This was perfect.
Dear God I love continue?
Darryl Smith I'm Ron Burgundy?
Two Minutes Turkish I'm sorry to hear that
this game was my fav. so much to it and so many mini games and stuff later on.
Love this game. wish they would have done a Continue quest with this game.
I loved this game. I wish they would re-release it.
it doesn't hold up these days but it was great in its day
0:03 Is it a Josh episode?
It IS a Josh episode! Woooooo!
This was the first game I played that had cool guns. Back then I didn't notice the 8 fps
Dudes.... I LOVED this game as a kid. It's a little rough around the edges, sure, but the way the gameplay works makes it awesome. If it had modern camera controls it would be near perfect.
I love this game I still play every once in a while I hope they play long enough to see the secret disco for themselves

i swear Nick Murphy looks like the guitarist from Pissed Jeans
PLEASE continue to use random stock photos when you tell your stories. That had me in tears during the squirrel story lmao
This game is so freaking good, but it definitely takes a bit to get going. Also, it plays much better with a controller that isn't worn out.
The hard part is finding an N64 controller that's analog stick isn't worn to nothing thanks to those damn stick-rotating games in Mario Party.
gurvmlk omg tug o war killed all of mines
I remember this game as a kid lol.
Yes i loves this game ! It was my first experience with a weird game... I still see this baby head rolling around in my dreams •_•
As a kid, this game was the only "gore-y" game my mom would let me play, as I would say to her: "It's okay! They have green blood. It's not real"
Paul, I still have my Army Ants!
Great episode as usual. You guys rule!!!
yo Josh Perfect Dark fuckin rules
RIP Squirrel, he didn’t continue...
what a great video favorite line has to be "These ants are animals!" man I laughed my ass off
I was so pissed off that the oscars and emmy's excluded squirrel from the recently departed compilation. Incredibly disrespectful to his work
They need to get Markiplier to pay tribute to that Squirrel. He is King of the Squirrels you know. RIP Squirrel, Game Over.
absolutely love this game, shame the late game is hampered by forcing 100% tribal collecting to make it to the final stage and resulting final boss.
Squirrel story with exploding head > all stories
This game just triggered a series of Continue Vietnam flashbacks
A+ ending. Rage tucker.
Amazing game with a legendary soundtrack...
SS Anubis
Spawnship
Rith Essa
Mizars palace
Military base
Eschebone
Water Ruins
And so much more....
I loved this game. I too wish they would re-release it.
Yo this GAME, THIS FUCKING GAME, so good
I fucking LOVED this game as a kid, but god damn, it does not hold up well.
And now... The Birds and The Bees talk your parents wussed out on giving to you... courtesy of Continue?
I'm glad the boys understand that Perfect Dark made every other N64 shooter obsolete. Sick of all this Goldeneye bullshit. Perfect Dark is literally the same game, just improved in every way.
I was really bummed that King Jeff wasn't Jeff from M-Class
I thought about it but I didn't know if he wanted me to do that. He's a shy boy.
Josh
Nice
Totally unironic, this was one of my all time favorite games as a kid. Just like everyone else in the comments, I'd kill for a remake or modern sequel.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone play this game as the guy character
Game is hard to play these days and getting every tribal to fight the final boss is bullshit....but I still love this game. It's surprisingly gruesome for a T rated game (you can collect the heads of the bad guys you kill and it unlocks stuff) and has a lot of personality. When it clicks, the game is a lot of fun...

I loved this game. I wish they would re-release it.
They did. It's a part of Rare Replay on the XBONE.
Why does Josh keep looking more and more like he took an experimental zombie vaccine? (Z-Nation reference)
KING JEFF
Deja vu.
100%.
I watched this video two days ago, on 10/23.
THose were some morbid assed stories
Damnit RUclips, this didn't show up on my Subs page >.
Yaaaay Nick Nurphy is still my favorite. Loved this game as a kid. However I'm sure I'd hate how it controls now a days too.
"Jet Force Genocide". SHUT IT DOWN LADS we've found the best episode
the only good bug is a dead bug!
#:35 did Paul just...censor himself?
lol I KNEW you all weren't really going to enjoy it. I went back and played it a few months ago and it BLOWS CHUNKS.......squirrel head chunks lmao
I never knew this game had competitive multiplayer. All we ever played was the crappy co-op.
Someone forgot to cleanup the panning automation track~~~
Neat game, great episode. You guys are going to run out of N64 games at this rate. I don't think you've done Snowboard Kids / Snowboard Kids 2, either one of those is a superb (3 player racing) option with very clean and bright graphics for the N64.
N64 games barely look like anything, just a random mesh of angular colors.
Nope, WRONG, best N64 shooter right here
I loved this game. I wish they would re-release it.
@@ashbringeroflore A re-release was planned but never came out. It's the version on rare Replay.
They didnt even get to a boss but i understand.
JFG was way ahead of its time. Most games these days are just uninspired.
Bugs are really sexy
This has to be one of the absolute best N64 games, but it's definitely not for everyone. Even I myself found it tough to get into at first. The key to truly enjoying the game is to really master the controls, and they're not easy. Once you get comfortable with it though, it becomes amazing.
This video is severely lacking Starship Troopers references
Could never finish this game, stupid ass Tribals holding the last space ship piece along with other pieces that I couldn't friggin' find
does dom ever do guest appearances anymore?, haven't watched in a while
That sleep twitch outro was fucking gold. I love you guys.

Perfect Dark is awesome, as a veteran of the game I love it to bits, but the framerate is even worse than this one unless you get it on Xbox360.
Was it Squirrel #5 or Squirrel #238?
EDF! EDF! lol
My friend had this game and I thought it was semi-cool-ish... then I went back and tried to play it last year and I wasn't a fan.
Who edited this one?
C'mon, bruh, you couldn't just take a second to increase the brightness on this dark-ass game capture?
@Continue? My dude you used the old intro. RIP ^_-
It's still so weird to me that this isn't a classic. I mean, I had it and so did a few people I knew, plus it was by RARE! Seems like barely anyone played it for some reason. I remember when I played this on Rare Replay.
Meh.
RIP squirrel respect
i KNEW this was a josh edit lmaoooo josh is all over this episode what a great job

josh is my favorite josh is the best
hey josh, fuck that rabbit. thats the day you learned about mortality lol rip tho
The multi-player is terrible, but the actual game is great.
Damn you guys are terrible at this game, it's hilarious
F
So like, what if this was someone's first viewing of one your videos? I'm pretty sure the first 40 seconds would turn off most new viewers. Just sayin
