yes, if sub was adjacent to main panel then try to keep alike...otherwise, it doesnt matter in the least. If sub was in another room then it dont mean nothing, tnx
Hey Doug I totally agree with adding the surge protector there but I wasn’t aware that it was required in a sub panel. I know 230.67 requires it when replacing service equipment but you did not replace any service equipment. I looked thru article 242 and couldn’t find anything. Could you let me know where in the code book it requires a surge protector in a sub panel?
