Totally agree, I have been places where it really helped and other places that it does nothing. Dud not know that about download speed. Will have to watch that.

I'm so confused on what to get to help upload videos and do Livestreams on the road. That new satellite internet that will be available later on is on the expensive side for us. I'm looking at something that doesn't break the budget and will help. That Visible Internet was a joke for us. It totally flopped
Again, all depends on your set up. For example, the speed test we ran in this video was off a hotspot on a cell phone. We also have 2 hotspot devices I.e. nighthawk is one of them. You can connect your ipad to wifi using these devices.
We, too, have a WeBoost but haven’t been that impressed with it. Instead, we got a $30 amplifier that suction cups to our window and it works just as well to boost our signal. We’re looking into getting a hot spot with First Net. It’s for health care workers & first responders.
Yes we switched everything to at&t and Jon got first net. We had to get me a separate line because first net isn’t for the entire family it’s only for the first responder.
From a totally non geek, we are going boondocking in the Allegheny national forest. I did download movies etc to watch . Will I need anything to help with this part?
I’m not sure with your specifics. Everything comes down to initial coverage. If you are in an area that doesn’t have any cell service it doesn’t matter what data plan you have it won’t connect to the internet. The Weboost doesn’t give you any internet it only helps boost signal that already exists. I always recommend having some dvds with you so you can watch something if you can’t get internet service in a location.

We have had the Weboost for awhile now, but have not had a chance to use it much. Good to see the results.

We just switched to the nighthawk device data plan through at&t it’s working really well! It’s crazy that in 2021 internet is this hard to get.
And for WiFi, it was suggested to get a router to boost this and can connect to ipad
