I drove thru this town today on my way from tifon ga to Montgomery al. I thought the town was so beautiful I decided to look for videos of it on RUclips. This video is in winter time, it's way better in the summer. And I loved all the Victorian style homes in the area.

Great video tour of Eufaula! A film crew for the movie Sweet Home Alabama came and filmed some street scenes that were used in the movie, it's the first street you showed as you entered town. Most of the movie was filmed in Georgia.
I live in Eufaula… It is really nice for fishing, but not much. I know almost all the history, and the schools are very good! It’s just, not much to do. Small town, nice and quiet, but all the nearest stuff is in Dothan or Columbus.
Great video. Interesting note: The Jacksons (Michael and his brothers and sisters) Grandmother was in a Nursing Home there for many years and they would stop in several times. In fact there is a youtube video that shows them there as well. Marilyn McCoo (5th Dimension) father lived there. Martha Reeves (Motown group Martha Reeves and the Vandellas) has family there as well as Diana Ross and many others. The town is rich in history. How do I know? I lived there for about 10 years. do Jr.Allen parkway in North Columbus georgia then turn off of Jr.Allen parkway onto Veterans parkway north and go up toward Pine Mountain Georgia it's a small mountain Ridge 28 miles north of Columbus GA, the highest point on pine mountain is dowdells knob at 1,395FT in elevation is where ex president Franklin D, Roosevelt would sit ontop of the Ridge while getting treatment for his polio disease. also several overlooks on the mountain to stop at to see views. also callaway Gardens is nearby and wild animal safari.
