The good news is that another company will still product the WJBP prime and ironhide

I love all of my WeiJiang products & really want to get this one too but the ankles look toooooo FRAGILE 😳😳😬 guess I’ll just stick with my TW... looks like I won’t get to do a stop motion with this guy🤦🏽♂️
this figure is 1) AMAZING and 2) questions whether or not its a knock off, as weijiang was a ko company, or technically a third party. I say this because keen eye watchers will realize it has the same transformation method as MP-10, just upgraded to accommodate the design. If you were a casual fan you would think its an official MPM prime. Frankly i think that hasbro should create an overview/figure consultant group made from weijiang employees, at least for there mp lines.

The proportions on the WeiJiang is terrible. His torso is too blocky, the chest is too flat. ToyWorld still wins.
This version of Optimus Prime actually does have "compressed" waist, as you've mentioned.
Man,that is awesome! Unfortunate that it's the final Wei jiang offering. I've always loved what they do with their oversized figures.
He looks like bumblebee Optimus Prime but a dad version.
This to me is a awesome looking figure. I have watched all the others and to me this is the best one so far.
IDK if I should be more upset that this is the last WeiJiang product or if this thing isn't actually a fire scorpion.

They maybe knocking off the toys, but they approved some techniques and amazing figures than the officials.
Appreciate your review, in terms of being transformable, this definitely has the better proportion and of course much affordable. But i'm afraid to transform him because of the metal paint chipping issue :( the bottom foot of mine has a tiny paint chip now
For me personally, I'm not fond of the proportions of this release. The limbs look really spindly in comparison to that chunky torso. Not to mention the tiny head. Almost reminds me of Okawara vs Katoki in that regard when you compare it to the Toyworld mold.
So I guess that means the WeiJiang Ironhide isn't coming? Glad I went with my gut and got the Black Mamba version.
Pity that WeiJiang is closing doors, their unscaled Studio Series Transformers were amazing. Speaking of, the transformation of this one looks to me very similar to the transformation of the official Studio Series version. I would have loved to see WeiJiang have a go at making unscaled versions of the Devastator components. Their version of Devastator would have been amazing, and probably much better than the Devil Saviour 3rd party version.
Weijang may be gone, but they went out with a bang with this figure
This version may be more movie accurate but the proportions of the Toy World one would win a bodybuilding contest based on proportions

I thought those scratches on the thighs were intentional weathering, it kinda blends in well.
I feel like the chest for this one is super off from the on screen piece and the head just looks funky

I really, really hope that it’s just a temporary shut down. I may only have their Wei Jiang Detective AOE Hound but I really need all of them. I especially need the Green Hornet of WWII Bumblebee. And if they are shutting down forever I hope they keep producing and it’s just not making new types. But if I’m wrong, R.I.P Wei Jiang. You will be forevermore missed and worshipped.
The arms can go 90 degree if u flip the shoulder pads. I didn't know that at first too but I saw a riview.

I dunno I still prefer the ToyWorld version. It has better proportions IMO. Maybe not movie accurate, I don't really remember, but definitely much nicer as a showcase figure.

This is depressing. 3rd party figures will be a thing of the past soon enough. Both Wei Jiang and Unique Toys both releasing their last figures, a sign of things to come.
Won't be surprised if Toyworld's AOE Prime doesn't release and they shut down.
I think you're crazy though for thinking this is more accurate than Freedom Leader. The 3A figure is basically the CGI model, and Toyworld looks way more similar to that version, meaning it's more accurate.
The chest is out of proportion with the rest of the bot mode, it's too big

Im betting there are going to be many people upset at hasbro, including myself.
But hasbro isn't in the wrong in this case, but this should show them that quantity isn't everything in a toy. We want quality, over quantity. These third party companies gave us things hasbro was too cheap to produce, and for that we thank them. Rest in peace third party companies. There may still be a few unaffected, but i doubt hasbro will stop at these two companies...
Yea Masterpiece just released their starscream, witch is a good figure. But I just feel like they've been lacking lately and third partys has been leaving them in the dust

Great review. The details and accessories are really top-notch, IMO, but the proportions aren't there for me so I won't be getting this one. I think the torso is too big and the chest is not angled properly. Maybe it looks better in person, but I'm going to wait for some of the other options (like transcraft or maybe even an official MPM some day) that will be releasing later on down the line. It does look like WJ managed to do something that TW didn't, which is make something that's actually fun to handle and doesn't fall apart!

Damn, the weijiang's proportion is great, they got the right thiccness, its only downfall is its lose leg joints and paint chipping

I almost pulled the trigger on this but reviewers were complaining about the weak joints commenting on how it was probably rushed out the door before final adjustments. Now your review makes me want it again but the price at everywhere you can buy it is up $30-40. =(

You pointed out what I disliked(besides the giant pricetag) on the ToyWorld release but couldn’t really put to words. I knew the torso threw me off but you exactly pointed it out 😉 it’s actually to squished. I bought the BmB/Aoyi LS-13 and really like it. No weathering at all and not perfectly detailed but for fifty bucks absolutely awesome.
Regarding WeiJiang I’m really sad and from what I’ve read Black Apple himself was thrown in jail too and I don’t think Chinese jails are a place you wanna be. Really loved the heavy modifications he made to the MO Series of Figures. His MO1 modified evasion mode prime is still one of my favorites.
BmB/Aoyi is starting doing more and heavier modifications too like with the LS-13 so I hope they do even more. Already like what they do with paint and minor mods. Shortly my Jetfire should arrive 😉

My only complaint is the head sculpt it looks awful
Got mine last week, I'm very happy with him, however, mine didn't have batteries installed and the instructions don't mention them at all, so I have no idea what size batteries to put in the gun or the head. :/ had to tighten up the sideways leg hinges a bit as well out of the box. Fantastic review as always PrimevsPrime :) 👍👌

Toy world is actually more accurate to the bumblebee movie, but I do agree with the proportions of this figure is better.
I think the legs Look even better Like that, because it Looks battle damaged now.
You know it would be dope if they included a modern live action g1 style matrix of leadership in this figure like from the 1986 original transformers movie

Can your figure hold up the ion blaster or Energon axe without its arms instantly flopping right out of the box? Noticed you didn’t show him in any dynamic poses - mine can’t get into any action poses without fixes. Even the truck mode sags in the middle and drags across the floor as you roll it. It looks good but the joints are a major disappointment - especially considering its price point vs the LS-13. Still a better value compared to Toyworld’s release imho.
This truck mode is better than the official MPM12 OP

You didn't mention if the MPP-10 trailer would fit in that Tripod section. Also I was hoping you'd compare it to the AOYI Transformation Action Figure LS-13 which I think is a great figure and a better comparison than the Toy World. I got the AOYI for $58.00 shipped.

I think the toyworld one is still more movie acurate. The chest needs to be a little more taller and then it would be perfect. Along with slightly bigger gontlets and taller legs.
Got me self the figure, and it's amazing except dor the paint in the thighs...i tightened the joints on mine...and now they're solid as a rock...the joints that need tightening are pretty easy to access so it wasn't so hard to do
what is involved in tightening the joints? just a screw driver? or is there a special way.. I am new to this world so not sure if this is something you can strip a screw or mess up, or its easy to do, etc

Nah mate, Toyworld's has the MP aesthetics, detailing and proportions while WJ is just an over engineered and peek'd to the max CHUG. Your perception of what's aesthetically pleasing and what isn't is just fails you sorry. 😌 It's still a nice figure but no match for TW's.
Sorry mate, i prefer the WJ and not only because it is 1/3 of the price that TW costs, but i like the more bulky Optimus with movie accurate mask, easier to transform and superior better truck mode!

i have actually bought the wjba prime in april through show z, then got the news of them closing down around june. now i don't know if they will still have someone else to re-relese them or wil i get a full cash refund. but i still hope to get the figure than a cash refund tho....

When will you be able to review DS02 and DS03 figures from Devil Savior? I have already seen DS02 reviews but it is in Chinese, and personally, I love your content more than even Emgo. So yeah, im just waiting for that. Also, just ordered DS04, and it should be here Monday, thanks to your review making it easy to decide. I also ordered DS01, got him, and WOW!! had to do some soul searching after the plastic came clean off the arm after not putting hardly ANY pressure on it trying to configure it into Truck mode. I did get it fixed, and he is perinatal staying in head mode, but yeah. Just some questions...

I thought that this was a non-transforming figure, but I was mistaken.
The only issue i have with this figure and other third party bumblebee versions of optimus is it's too big. Also the wheels are in proportionate
90 degree bend is just unacceptable in any figure of this size. And the fact that the paint app is sloppy as hell should be a major downside.
