    H/H match update and End-of-Week Recap:
    ...
    ~~~Today's Action:
    Our champion "Bombed" out on her second-round question, matching zero celebs. She departs after having won a single game and $600.
    *Today's audience match question: "Justice________"*
    (My thoughts: For all, League, Society, of the peace) - Yeah, I can choose four if I want! The second and third ones are basically the same anyway.
    The celebs: Richard (of the peace), Brett (Douglas), Nipsey (delayed is justice denied)
    The choice: Of the peace
    The answers: Prevails, For All, of the Peace
    Our new champion pockets an easy $500. Of course she's going to pick the same celeb as nearly everyone else the past umpteen months...
    Sigh. This is King Richard's 21st consecutive head-to-head question (and he's played 54 of the past 56 times). He's also matched 11 of those past 21 times so far, which might not sound so spectacular, but it's actually well above his overall average, so he's still technically on a relative hot streak.
    Stats: Richard has matched 112 of his 260 most recent attempts (43.1%), 51 of his last 120 attempts (42.5%), 32 of his last 76 attempts (42.1%), and 4 of his past 12 attempts (33.3%). His overall success rate is *42.1%* and this is his 738th attempt so far.
    For the sake of comparison: Betty has matched 19 of her 38 attempts (50.0%), Charles has matched 33 of his 69 attempts (47.8%), Brett has matched 30 of her 71 attempts (42.3%), and Richard has matched 310 of his 737 attempts (42.1%). Nipsey has answered 8 H/H questions without yet achieving a match. Sarah Purcell hasn't yet been chosen for a H/H question.
    *Today's H/H question: "Day to________"*
    (Another easy one? Day to Remember.)
    Richard finished quickly. Did he even have the time to write my suggested answer? Hmm.
    "The only thing I could think of was 'Day to Day.'" Well, now that I hear it, it sure sounds good, and it's a short enough answer to match how quickly Richard wrote his... The audience sounds enthused. I can't quite embrace her answer, but something tells me I'm wrong today and she's right.
    Judging by Richard's reaction, we have a match.
    Yes. "Day"!
    Richard scores his 311th H/H match today.
    ~~~The Week that Was:
    There was an audience match fail on Tuesday, and time ran out on Wednesday without a head-to-head, leaving us four questions for the week, the fourth consecutive all-Richard H/H week: - This week's tally: Richard 2/4
    Recapping this week's panelists:
    *Richard* had an above-average week, but his overall average holds at 42.1% for a second week. He's still within striking distance of overtaking Brett in overall accuracy when it comes to the H/H, but then, I've been saying that for weeks now. Maybe next time? Stay tuned.
    *Brett* was idle for her fourth consecutive week, and so her accuracy score remains 42.3%.
    *Charles* sat idle for his 14th week, his accuracy score remains 47.8%.
    *Betty* White finished her 55th week of 75. I think it's crazy that most contestants overlook her for the H/H. Her accuracy rate remains 50.0%: 19 matches in 38 attempts.
    *Nipsey* Russell completed his 19th week of 28, also without getting another shot to score his first H/H match. He holds at zero matches in eight attempts, which doesn't sound great, but that's exactly the same as Richard did in his first eight attempts (zero matches), and now everyone seems to believe Richard is the best at matching, so there's still hope for Nipsey! I'm hoping he has enough weeks left after the "Star Wheel" is introduced (in 1246) so that we can see him answer a few more H/H questions.
    *Sarah* Purcell completed her first of two weeks on the MG panel. Like everyone but Richard, she didn't get a shot at a head-to-head question. Well, there's always next week, which in her case will be episodes 1201-1205.
    ~~~Looking ahead, our stalwart regulars will be joined by two very familiar MG family members and another one-week-only guest panelist:
    -----Semi-regular Fannie Flagg returns after three weeks away for her 68th week (of 90). Fannie of course has an excellent track record in the head-to-head match (48.3% = 14 matches in 29 attempts), but considering she's appeared 67 weeks so far - 335 episodes - it's almost criminal the way she's mostly ignored by champions looking to win big...
    -----Dick Martin will be back for his 11th week of 22 total. Dick last popped up in episodes 1071-1075, and despite having played the game for 50 shows so far, he has yet to be chosen for his first head-to-head question.
    -----Last but not least, Polly Holliday will make her Match Game '7x debut. It will also be her Match Game '7x swan song. Yes, another in a long string of one-week-only guest panelists.
    ~~~And here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy:
    (An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.)
    (For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.)
    Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts).
    TIE: (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    Gary Burghoff - 71.4% (5 wins in 7 attempts).
    Betty - 50.0% (19 wins in 38 attempts).
    Fannie - 48.3% (14 wins in 29 attempts).
    Charles - 47.8% (33 wins in 69 attempts).
    Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts).
    Brett - 42.3% (30 wins in 71 attempts).
    Richard - 42.1% (311 wins in 738 attempts).
    Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts).
    *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 1095, excluding the missing/damaged/unavailable episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, 910, 1024, 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1029, and 1030. *Also, note that episode 849 was never produced. (These stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969. Note: There was no H/H in missing episode 1035, as we learn in 1036.)
