Randy is the reason I'm a Vikings fan. I'll never forget watching him play during his rookie season when i was 5 years old. Its because of him that i ended up playing football myself. I wanted to be just like him. I even wrote a biography on him for my 3rd grade project when i was 8. Love you Randy, you and your family will be in my thoughta and prayers. Stay strong, stay resilient. We've always got your back.
2 Weeks ago my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreas cancer. So, I understand personally what his loved ones are feeling right now. My heartfelt prayers for one of my all-time favorite Vikings, and for his family.
This cancer usually carries a poor prognosis but it sounds like they found it early enough to hopefully cure him. He’s young and strong which will help. Wishing all the best to Randy.
Randy Moss is so talented and legendary. I am glad I heard that they caught it early.... that's the silver lining. Positive thoughts and prayers for a man of solid foundation and character.
Best of luck to Randy from a Detroit Lions fan. My father had the same Whipple procedure. Started with what he described as feeling a finger pressing in his back which was really was the cancer putting pressure between his pancreas and liver, or what was described by the doctor as a donut shaped cancer around a major blood vessel near the pancreas. Went to Johns Hopkins and and the leading physician of the procedure Dr. John Cameron (now retired). It gave my father 2 more years of life but it was ultimately not successful. He had to take special enzyme digestion pills for eating but really he gradually lost weight and struggled at times.
Prayers for Randy.. I watched him as a kid in the 90's and early 2000's. Love this guy. And now a great sports commentator. Come on Moss get better soon!
Randy Moss was the first NFL player I knew by name, I remember having a Dreamcast as a kid playing NFL 2k2 with Randy Moss on the front. I didn’t know anything about football at the time so I just chose the team on the cover and quickly realized the Vikings were the only team I could win with mostly because of Moss. Fast forward 22 years and Ive been a die hard Vikings fan ever since 🙏 so let’s just say Randy Moss is the reason why I’m a fan of the sport and the reason I’m a Vikings fan. Prayers up to the greatest football player EVER imo 🙏
Moss had spent so many years being a childish flamboyant diva; then he turned into a man. So, not only do we need to respect the player he was; but the man he is. God bless; stay strong, Mn friendly!
The best athlete I've ever seen. You called me Crazy white boy at football camp after that situp prank and that made me happy. Love you you Man and I'm praying for you ❤
I never got to watch Randy, just started watching football in 22, always was a Vikings fan but just became a Football fan, but I always Respect Randy for what hes done in MN. Praying for him
Love Randy Moss man, so glad that he's got that taken care of, it sounded like he got to whatever it was early enough, and this seems to confirm that he did.
Not to be negative but, sorry to say he is likely a long way from the end of his cancer journey. 20-25% of patients are alive five years after the surgery, also known as a pancreaticoduodenectomy. Pray for Randy.
If you’re not trying to be negative then, why did you say it in the first place? let the man enjoy his life if he’s saying he’s cancer free then he’s cancer free.
@JoshuaRoss-x2y if he was cancer free there wouldn't be a need for chemo and radiation at this point he's clearly still battling let's hope he goes into remission eventually
@ wow you don’t say… SMH I can’t believe how inconsiderate people are. The man is manifesting good health in his life. That’s why he’s saying he’s good. He’s cancer free. He knows the battle he got ahead of him and he don’t need people that are not doctors telling him otherwise.
So wait he says survivor so then why does he still have to do chemo and radiation? Not trying to be mean or disrespectful but it sounds like hes still battling it and not in remission
Prayers and love for 84!

My man Raul Malo of The Mavericks (band), another R.M., also kicking cancer ass.
It's beatable as these Great Americans are about to demonstrate.

Okay? Cant he be the 20-25%? God works in Miraculous ways
My grandpa had exactly 5 years left after his first diagnosis.
