What does a successful life for you look like?
Jesus Christ said "The last will be first and the first will be last in the Kingdom of Heaven." Success in God's eyes is being a servant of all
Raining wieners.
@Tony-c5g9w that isn't meant to be taken literally. That refers to achieving success at all cost, stepping on others to get there. You won't be punished for being successful through honest work.
Being born as a son of a millionaire, like any billionaire is.
Just kidding, I hate money and pity how miserable people who obsess over it are.
I'm already living my dream life as someone who fights for the working class to have access to what the human rights was supposed to give them.
When people are confused what you do for a living because to them, you seem to live well enough 😊😂
Bless my youtube algorithm.
Ofc
facts...theres actually some good stuff left
@keypoughkeepsie wdym? there are literally thousands of videos that make you motivated about anything on yt.
Mine too
Ofc bro....
Imagine living in 2026 where this type of content is one click away from you and you still don’t exploit it to improve your life.
I’m so grateful for this content.
Please like my comment so I can always come here to motivate my life
Me too.
Gives me goosebumps.
I'm greatful to😊
@craftorriaawesome
Most people think they have it all figured out
13 minutes of my life have never been so well spent in youtube
you wasted your time unless you put these lessons into action as soon as possible. focus on them one by one and that's when it will become a well spent time
same here
@dasjhnuthere's the pesemist, haha. You gotta make every step count, so better approach them in your pace than forcing you into a inhuman stiff routine.
You gotta make it fit you not the other way around 😄
@iseah9449stfu he's right
it took me nearly 45 minutes to watch the video cause of pausing the video to write the wisdom down nearly every couple of minutes or so
1. Indifference
2. Indecision
3. Doubt
4. Worry - give it up!
5. Over-caution
6. Pessimism
7. Complaining
So in short: just fucking do it
thanks lol
Thanks for posting that.
I got the geist of everything he said there yet didn't want to watch the whole thing over again so as to make a reference list.
I would add one more item to the ideas here too. Probably as number 4 ~ 'Don't be lazy' and 'Do what is hard': even as they are both inferred in his speech anyway!
8: Sex
(Or rather making sex a priority, as many men including myself have done. Not that having sex with your girlfriend is gonna ruin you)
@PatCorry-i7pSounds like you're making progress. Your (our) time is ceaselessly being devoured.
Don't ask for security - ask for adventure.
Safety builds nothing.
Adventure builds character, courage, and stories worth telling
Right? i seem to always laugh everytime I read 'deez nurts!'
Which I had more security and a proper roof above my head that I should have bought years ago. First stabibility then adventure would have been better!
U know it's only don't be too safe like I want to create a company I have 1 crore but I will only use 1 edits just have recovery fund, be safety enough to get up and sleep and work that's all.
And 0 savings 😅
Poor thinking habits are what keeps most people poor, not poor working habits. Most people work hard, but they don't think hard.
" I'll tell you how risky life is, you're not gonna get out alive. " THATS DEEP!
Yeah, it's really deep. 🙄 Profound. Not the least bit obvious. Not at all.
It is Profound and the most important decision you will make for an eternity, Choose Jesus.
@dragonflydreamer7658 The guy's dead
@Mantas-cm2sfAs far as I know, we only get one go-round on this big blue ball flying through space, Live it to the fullest. Watched this in 2017 making 40k, 8 years later 150k. My old boss that put me on to this, owns a few food trucks and hires youngsters to make his money for him, and only have to run it, and he can live a full life with his family on close to half an M. I'm still having to work, but maybe one day I'll be there. The only way to have more is to do more. In my words, I don't wanna be good, I wanna be great.
@shadowofheaven3279He’s clearly alive within people because his influence still transforms people to this day.
This was recorded in the early 80s. It found me in the early 2000s. I have been reaping the rewards ever since. I wish I could have met him.
Well said!
It found me just now in 2025. I wish I could have met him too!
it found me after 4 decades, I'm glad it did so
@studywithhn yahh
Must be nice
Happiness is true success!!!!not nothing else ain’t shhhh doesn’t matter without happiness tied to it!!!
Wise men never comprehend continuity searching in the desert
David aylor loved cocaine not being a lawyer he died happy!!!!
The scariest part isn’t failing - it’s living your whole life safely in the corner, never knowing what you could’ve been.
I think we can increase safety zone size by get out of that zone.
one thing i would like to this is that not following your gut feeling, the gut feeling is an hard to explain feeling you got sometimes, it is unpredictable, you wont know when it'll happen or where, but it will lead you to success most of the time, always follow your gut feeling and ignore anyone and everyone else if you can, otherwise you will spend your whole life thinking about how your life would've been if you followed it, i wish everyone who reads this sets their mind and follows theirs, i am preparing to follow mine.
@manapotu6623 thanks for letting me know about gut feeling !
That’s where I am now
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt. We're all going to die anyway and all the wrong choices and mistakes you could make during your life will provide you with valuable lessons which will make you a better, more evolved human being. So it doesn't matter if you succeed right away or fail a couple of times, you always win in the long run (as long as your failures doesn't make you stop trying untill your goal is achieved). The paralyzing fear to fail is far more harmfull for you than failure itself could ever be. To conclude: All shots not fired are always missed and every missed shot will bring you closer to becoming the perfect marksman..😅
“Stand guard at the door of your mind” - what you let in shapes everything you become.
Beautiful ❤
this is very true. avoid toxic people.
I have nothing to become
Here is a **justified** summary paragraph in English about the **logismoi**:
> The *logismoi* are intrusive thoughts or mental impulses described by early Orthodox Christian monks as the primary sources of spiritual struggle. According to Evagrius Ponticus, there are eight fundamental *logismoi*: gluttony, lust, avarice, sadness, anger, acedia, vainglory, and pride. These thoughts are not considered sinful in their first appearance, but they become harmful when a person entertains them, allowing them to influence emotions and actions. The goal of monastic spiritual practice is to recognize and confront these *logismoi* through vigilance, discernment, prayer, and interior stillness, preventing them from taking root in the heart and disrupting inner peace.
An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded
"Better to live 30 years full of adventure, than 100 years in the corner"
I don't agree with that anymore. I'm past 30.
but is sad that most people understand it late rihgt?
better be safe than sorry (disabled for lifetime) from adventure (accident)
Jim Rohn is the greatest role model, it's crazy how his talking points in the 80s are still relevant to now in 2025
Truth is timeless.
You'd be surprised how many points from the bible are still relevant today! That's where you find the real answers to life..
Jim Rohn is great, but there is always someone greater
Blessings🤝
Jesus is the greatest role model
Because humanity shares the similarities
Because all what he says is about human nature. And it does not change, despite all the things that happen in the world.
[Mat 6:25-34 NKJV] 25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 "Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, [will He] not much more [clothe] you, O you of little faith? 31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day [is] its own trouble.
thank you.
Well said.
Thank you and amen
This is definitely one of my favorite teachings of Jesus, AMEN!❤
Amen
The understanding of self-worth is the beginning of progress 🙌🏿
Holy mfing bot attack
I've actually just learned this. And yes it's very true
So making sure you complain then yes?!??
That’s heavy
Love Jim Rohn (RIP) would also add 3 more..
Procrastination kills momentum and weakens confidence.
Excuses blocks accountability and learning.
Envy shifts focus from growth to resentment.
Envy is the worst.
Excellent. If I may, I'd phrase it: Excuses deny accountability and learning. I appreciate this input and have added it to Jim's.
@Strakin Yes. The first two probably preceded the last. As a Pastor told me: If you want what someone else has, do what they did to get it. Envy is a form of someone else living rent free in one's mind
@Strakinna i think it fuels me if I am jealous of someone's success i would try to be better than him like I want to switch places such that he feels envy
@Chvinay2110 yea and what would you do to "switch places"? Because this is the bad part. You dont have to switch places, you can be great by yourself, you dont need anyones envy.
"Every day stand guard at the door of your mind" - THIS IS SO IMPORTANT. Especially in the times we are living now.
Why is this important in this times we live now?
@joceffful Because in this day and age there are way too many distractions, keeping people in negative loop of mediocrity and constant border-line state of depression.. People are getting blasted with blue light, brainrot, and cheap dopamine entertainment (with instant gratification) from every direction. Compared to 70's (or whenever this seminar was recorded) you didn't have that much distraction (as well as entertainment apart from books and one channel in the tv).
@jocefffulThere’s a battle for attention & human consciousness‼️
Best quote I’ve heard 🎉
"A ship in the harbour is safe but that is not what a ship is built for" - Rabindranath Tagore, Nobel prize winning Indian author
That's Vincent Van Gogh
Although many people can ~share a quote and who said it doesn't matter much anyway
than the message
What is with you jeets always trying to take credit for other people's stuff?
This should be mandatory viewing for anyone who feels like they’re “doing everything right” but still stuck. Success doesn’t just die from lack of action-it gets quietly assassinated by habits we normalize. Every single one of these hit deep.
❤
Absolutely agree. I thought I was progressing and doing everything right, but I think I was stuck in the loop. I'm changing my habits and I can see the changes in me.
Define success
@sanserof7 you define it
@sanserof7 success is setting goals constantly in your life and achieving them one by one. The difference between a successful man and a failure is the successful man will do things the failure will not. Nobody likes to be uncomfortable. Nobody likes to work hard or get up early or push yourself. So failures don't. And successes do because they know they have to.
Not sure how old this video is. Imagine this guys delight when he realizes people in year 2025 watching it and taking mental note. Good advice is good advice regardless of when given
its in 1981
I doubt he cares at this point. He died in 2009.
@StudleyDuderightthats mean he was brilliant 😢
@Motive8Network His story is pretty inspirational. He wasn't just some hack who made money off of being a good speaker. He actually ran a successful business, lost his fortune, then made it back with interest.
Truly good advice is evergreen. This dudes forged in the fire.
“Stand guard at the door of your mind” This is great
the amount of propaganda we're exposed to these days this has never been more important.
Jim Rohn changed my life forever 10 years ago
I’m a hood dude out of south central Los Angeles. Can’t get enough of Jim Rohn. Dude was the GOAT. Rest easy bro
Well, from one hood dude to another hood dude, how do you do, my fellow hood dude.
Which hoodies do you wear bro
@iceintheparkthe ones that say milf, now what was your moms name again?
@iceinthepark Polo
Wait hood stand for hoodie?
Don’t wait. Movement creates clarity
I am listening to him
I used to be a big complainer…. I wasted decades of my life. I spent more than 2 years to reprogram my subconscious, it wasn’t easy!!!
I am so determined now to take everything I wasted back!
I think this guy just listed all my life habits and I know all of them just hindered my progress in life , so I can’t disagree on any of these points
Good for you!! 🎉
@Hypocritophobesame here
@Hypocritophobe he said himself he’s had them all and is an expert on them as well.
How did you do it? What did you do during those two years, to reprogram your mind?
I get addicted to Jim’s voice!!
RIP Mr Rohan, thank you so much for these pure wisdom.
May God bless your soul! ❤
This man has changed my life. God bless Jim Rohn!
The KEY of success is to BALANCE these things. Almost nothing is life is a one or zero.
BALANCE these nuts on your FORE head
Exactly what I was thinking. You need a balance.
Jim Rohn's content is always worth watching.
10:24 back then they had trash books but now they live in a trash life, scrolling tiktok, youtube shorts, reels. Even we don't have the patience to read 100 pages a day☹️
Food for thought indeed
Honestly, I read like 100 pages in two weeks, and i cant really read more. I am not able to.
@samouwielbiony it gets easier with time and more reading.
It applies to social media. One need to know how to weed good and bad info. It's more important today.
@samouwielbiony what is the point of reading exact amount of pages at amount of time? Reading should provide knowledge not the amount of pages you read isnt it?
Most people don’t fail because of a lack of opportunity - they fail because of a sickness they can’t even see. It’s not in their body. It’s in their attitude.
Nonsense. I've known dozens of people who busted their arses for decades (myself included) and remained unknown nobodies all the while. Talented, unique people. Some are d34d now. It's all *luck* and little else.
@Novastar.SaberCombat That is lazy take on it. Sure, it involves luck too as everything does in life but working hard and smart eliminates amount of luck you need. Most of people working do not lack opportunities, they are just too scared to take on them. I don't blame them, stable decent paying job is valuable as well, changing is always a risk.
@pk3m3 I can tell that you lack legitimate life experience. Nice try, but... *wrong.*
@Novastar.SaberCombatit's not not so black and white bro. Plus, he explains this in this same video. He said give everything you got in your work and you will either benefit from it or find out it's leading you nowhere. Your friends could have taken their har work elsewhere if they cared enough for their own success and not drift in the work of their bosses. Yes luck also has a play in this. It's a combination of all the above
@Niaaal "taken their work elsewhere"? And where would that have been, Mars? 🤔 You underestimate the people I knew. Some of them were *brilliant.* But their luck was atrocious. I'm not going to elaborate, but just know that many people struggle with insurmountable issues that cannot be solved by people who are alone.
Not chasing success fool pursuing (happiness/peace)!!most never achieved those two combinations
I live my choose my way NO GOVERNOR!!!!or leader!!!!
“As you think so you become “
He speaks like a child to the audience and makes them laugh, but does it in the right way like they will win in life if they heed his advice, Jim Rohn, the Legend!!
I never thought a book could change my life like this, but Law of the Signal by Eric Riven completely shifted how I see myself. It’s a must-read, trust me.
I got a Jim Rohn CD in 2005, i had it on repeat in my car and I was driving a lot of miles each week back then. All I can say I thank you, as Jim Rohn changed my life❤
0:53 you know the Bible says that whatever you do should be done to the Glory of God. In another passage the Scripture tells us that whatever we do should be done heartily, as unto The LORD
General Hans Landa has very useful tips, thanks!
1:50 As my father always says, “It’s either or, not neither nor”
Your Father must be a genius cos I can’t comprehend this statement
@Waleed-o7ymy interpretation of it is that when you say "it's either or" you personally are making a decision always. Choose one. The later part "Neither nor" just like in this video, saying a guy who have 5 reasons it won't work is stupid when you only need ONE, that is the mindset of choosing NOTHING. It's simple language that I might just be reading more into but logically this is what I could come up with to understand. It also made me think, why discuss NOTHING, when you do know it's POINTLESS, because it's NOTHING.
Love it. God bless that man
👍 👍 👍 👍 .
VERY good saying!!!
9:00 WOW, that hit SO HARD! Even back then, people were loading up on all the negative things happening in the world and it was wreaking havoc on their lives, same as it does today.
Nothing like today. It’s fed to you by Algorithms.
@Appeal2HeavenOC Fr.
Jim Rohn is my absolute favourite from all the motivational speakers ever. He had such a brilliant humor and amazing ability of putting even complex topics in understandable stories.
Please, more like this. I'm ready.
You don't need more, you just need to really get this one
This video is gold. I will leave a like so that i can come back later
Pick a direction and go with everything you've got. If it's the wrong direction, taking the step helps you find out quickly.
There’s something so special about the way he talks. He’s radiant, energized by life. What a mindset, what a great man.
This is the teacher I needed growing up in school 🏫
This made me cry, i feel something in my chest its my heart, its reacting to the go for it!
Time is the greatest thief of man, he's proof of that. RIP to Jim Rohn
One of the best decision of my life was to click on this video ❤
'Stand guard at the door of your mind'. How incredible! 🎉
This video is a godsend.
This video hits because most people do not fail loud they fail quietly through bad habits and no discipline. They Taught You to Be Nice Not Strong by Orrin Conway helped me see which silent killers were holding me back and how to cut them off
Goddamn I hate my parents. They taught me that nice bullshit
Don't see that book on kindle
Do you understand half of those silent fails you're talking about followed this sir's advice?
@Atlas-r1c1g you sound like someone who “got the bill of never trying”
@haxer33 well exactly, that's by design
One of the best videos I’ve ever seen
9:40 at this age, check someones RUclips and social media algorithm. Not the library
Fact.. unless they stay off the internet which is good
I still have a large amount of books I’ve read in just a few years and is growing every year. Should still read plenty instead of screen sucking
@TheKeystoneCabrónOkay you're exceptional
@TheKeystoneCabrón"should be" And $5 will buy you a cup of coffee but this is one of that should things that I can get behind... I collected books that I didn't read just cuz I liked having the books and sometimes eventually I would read them but they all got destroyed in a flood that was just sad., I was going through a breakup staying at an in between. Kind of place in the ceiling collapsed in the Attic but just rebuilding the vibe of having all those books around you cuz just... You know encyclopedias and stuff like that you can't replace that with nothing. It's nurturing for whatever you're trying to do. I'm still trying to build it back
@TheKeystoneCabrónsame.
True this also applies in trading the financial trading
I love Jim Rohn’s energy and enthusiasm. He was such a great speaker.
Controlled indifference is a superpower. Learn to care about the important stuff, not the mundane.
This right here 🎯
Bless the eyes watching this - for your soul yearns for the best of you and your family
You taught a life lesson in just 13 minutes.
Who’s here in 2099😎
I have so much to thank Mr. Rohn
Can it be that Jim Rohn has been a real father figure for the aspects of life my father may not have filled in himself? I appreciate all that both real and fake father have given me, a true contrast in ideology. God bless, Jim.
I can't believe this, I clicked on here to see how much he wanted to rip people off and found he simply wanted to remind us of the simple way to LIVE PROPERLY! What a great guy.
No you didn’t.
This is a religious speech on the faith of our time.
The only thing he‘s telling people is to stop complaining and give it a 1000%.
For no actual incentive.
Aka conditioning the runts.
All in the hope of being proven worthy and ascend to the pilot seat of the machine we live in.
The sacrifices you make for money will keep you chained to it, no matter if it’s sinking or floating.
@noahraab2429 I think you read something different to me---I simply took from it a reason to never get lazy with my writing, hobbies etc. Not that I don't see what you mean; after reading your message I rethink the advice/sermon and have to admit I can't debunk your appraisal---can't prove it either, but the point is you may be onto something. Anyway, I'm not the sort of person who ever toes the line, so whatever brainwashing this guy did/didn't intend simply wouldn't work on me, not to mention money holds literally no interest to me, outside paying rent
@markpaterson2053hey, that seems good for you honestly
@noahraab2429actually one of his biggest quotes is “work harder for yourself than you do your job”
@noahraab2429 glad I'm not the only one to get that vibe. The guy talks and emotes like a cross between a door-to-door salesman and a televangelist, it creeps me out.
He contradicts himself, too - "You must stand guard at the door of your mind, but you mustn't be cautious." "You shouldn't worry about what can go wrong, but you gotta be careful because your friends might metaphorically put strychnine in your coffee." Clear as mud.
That was 45 years ago but still very true, fresh and inspiring.
make a note to Greg Neff about crypto investments, ideas. Also, let him know that I referred you.
"Every day, stand guard at the door of your mind." Powerful and deep!
Be hungry. Be decisive. Be confident. Be light. Be daring. Be optimistic. Be grateful.
I THOUGHT that was some Jim Rhone!!!
God Bless you ALL!
Love Jim R.
People need to see this in their early teens.
Agree, and not only this one, but this kind of video.
Unfortunately, young ppl nowadays would 1.) Most likely just watch the first 5 seconds then scroll on 2.) Disregard all of it as preaching 3.) Don't take notes hence 4.) Forget it within less than half an hour
I was in such a low place a few months ago, waking up stressed, feeling lost, worrying nonstop. Someone mentioned Manifest the Divine by Elena River and I picked it up out of desperation. Within a few chapters, I felt something in me soften. I started trusting myself again, and opportunities started showing up. This book genuinely changed my direction. 😭
Pure Gold in every word what a legend
Love how relevant this is even in 2025. Just shows how humans over time don’t change much, our environment does. Master the internal world to thrive the external world! 💥💥
Jim Rohn is and will always be the best.
This is gold , thank you mr algorithm!
13:22 that sure did hit 😢
Shout out to my bro for sending me this im about to look at my first job it’s time
RIP incredible person.
May this wisdom stay with us
Our life's are mostly affected by the way we think things are not the way they are 🫡✨
Let's all take a moment to thank Matthew McConauchays father for his wise words.
I am going through that point of life where i keep coming back to this video pretty much every day
Stand a guard at the door of your mind.
“You must be wise and careful what you think about, because that starts everything”. 🔑 🔑 🔑
thanks God for this ERA . we are getting all the knowledge, motivation to become successful in life, only at HOME
I wished a had a grandpa like him

May I come back a year later saying what you just said☺️
@noelachota4607too by the will of GOD
I extremely love has advice ❤❤❤
Jee mains on 28th January, I may have made too many mistakes, but it's no time to count them no more. Put in the work, put in the hours and try to do howmuchever good I can. In the end you make your own choices, whether consciously or unconsciously.
Now I only look forward to this adventure of Life ahead of me whether good or bad, smiling at the high moments and getting up at the low times.
All the best
I lack passion, emotion, energy, motivation. I couldn't even finish the video but loved what he was saying.
Start small.
Dont hit the gym impromptu.
Do calisthenics one at a time
Forever the universe has used many individuals to teach the world how best to navigate life’s lessons.
Continue to shine the light to the world.
The cadence of a Baptist preacher. Keep on preaching!
Jim Rohn may have been one of the greatest life mentors in my life.
I was dubious but glad I watched it
