oda actually did some of these as requests from fans. when he does it, he usually does two versions, a good future and a bad future. in sanji's, just for the extra gut punch, good future sanji is zeff, bad future sanji is judge.

I agree like I know some women (specially japanese) still look like they’re in their 30s well into their 60s but it rubs me the wrong way how Nami basically looks the same. It feels like Oda just wants them to be pretty faces and nothing else, so he keeps them like that even though its not very realistic.
Pretty sure Oda said that the average age of People in the one piece universe is like 140. Or maybe not average but that humans in one piece can live to be 140
So, I am convinced that Boa Hancock would really look like that when she reaches the seventh decade of her life. As for the other girls, I know Oda drew them that way (if everything went well), but I feel like he never tries to give an ageing woman an older appearance while still showing her as an attractive person. As for the Art, I think Robin is the most convincing, though she and Nami could have some nice laugh lines.

Luffy looks really menacing in his senior years, and I also imagine that he is as big as Garp though it is just my own concept of him in his later years, he can be just as big as a normal person in one piece, but it really depends on oda and animators. 😅

For Boa it makes sense a little. It is a little weird for Nami and Robin not to have any wrinkles or laugh lines but overall it's still all looks good.

I know that in One piece females rarely look as old as they should in these SBS versions especially in their 60's. Nonetheless something seems to happen after you cross the 70's because Tsuru is a rare case of an old looking female character who seems to have aged with grace and has wrinkles due to aging. Though now that I looked, she has some already even in her 50's so I can't really conclude that being 70 is the end of eternal youth for them :_D
I think most of them can be categorised into 1:if everything went well And 2:if something went wrong along the way. If everything went right then thry end up looking like shakky or even dr kureha is not bad. If things went wrong then they end up looking like big mom or dadan. Except those who are blessed by fruit power like handcock or alvidia

I love every character drawn in this video, especially Sanji and Usopp. They look alike their fathers (and I still see Zeff as Sanji's father tbh) and its really wholesome.
So most of these were based on Oda’s drawings of the straw hats at age 60, except Boa, Brook, Franky and Jinbe. From what I could find, Boa was based on a drawing from an artist called Rofta, and Franky probably based on art by Delgalessio

Brook’s crew had just won a hard fought battle, but it was revealed that their enemy was using potent poison in all of their weaponry and the crews doctor died in the fight, so the crew as their final act chose to make a concert (his original crew was made up entirely of musicians if I recall correctly) with Brooke being the last of his crew to die. Course, it’s been years so I could be wrong too XD

Luffy looks really menacing in his senior years, and I also imagine that he is as big as Garp though it is just my own concept of him in his later years, he can be just as big as a normal person in one piece, but it really depends on oda and animators. 😅

I know that in One piece females rarely look as old as they should in these SBS versions especially in their 60's. Nonetheless something seems to happen after you cross the 70's because Tsuru is a rare case of an old looking female character who seems to have aged with grace and has wrinkles due to aging. Though now that I looked, she has some already even in her 50's so I can't really conclude that being 70 is the end of eternal youth for them :_D
I think most of them can be categorised into
1:if everything went well
And
2:if something went wrong along the way.
If everything went right then thry end up looking like shakky or even dr kureha is not bad.
If things went wrong then they end up looking like big mom or dadan.

Brook’s crew had just won a hard fought battle, but it was revealed that their enemy was using potent poison in all of their weaponry and the crews doctor died in the fight, so the crew as their final act chose to make a concert (his original crew was made up entirely of musicians if I recall correctly) with Brooke being the last of his crew to die.
