What Natan is doing with the slab tour is a game changer. I’m from Brazil and I loved when he went there and charged at Shock in Rio, I believe it was the first time someone ever tried to paddle there. I hope many other great surfers take the same path and sponsors can see the potential of this kind of content. Keep charging mate you are a truly inspiration
Some of the most beautiful surf shots of all time. The huge backlit slab with everyone charging was just so mesmerising. Beats any tropical wave in terms of beauty IMO.
Nope. On par with. There are places with similar cliff slabs in the Pacific. It's just Nathan here won't surf them. Too unknown and we like it like that.
Only Mother Nature could create such colors. The waves were the star of this episode. I loved how the surfers were silhouette. Didn't matter who they were. They were just shadows in the pit. Well done Slab Tour Team!!!!!!! Perfect music as well!!!
As long as you don't lose consciousness you should be right. The crevasses tend to hook you up and hold you down until you can kick free or the force releases you and you pop up like a cork.
Ah that was cool hearing Nate give wily advice at Wiley's - I was thinking yeah that makes sense to me - will definitely follow that when in there - even while knowing I ain't ever gonna be near such giant snarling waves as those! 😅 I did as it happens get sucked up the face of a wave in biggest set I ever surfed! First it sucked my board up over me, then it sucked me over my board, then it dropped me on board like cracking an egg on side of a bowl! 🤪🌊🤣
Dear Nate - you were kind enough to reply to a comment I made a while ago - and I SO much appreciated that. Here is another: I grew up as a competitive swimmer. I was quite good and regularly was top 10, top 20 in the US as a 10 - 17 year old which was one thing that led me into surfing because I was always VERY comfortable in the water. I competed as a swimmer against a number of guys that made it to the Olympics and beat one or two (my downfall was never growing to be 6-4 with long arms and legs, with big feet - I was 5-9, lol). I was a pretty good surfer, not great, but always loved the larger hurricane swells here on the East coast. Whatever... I just want to say that anyone who doesn't recognize you, and all the others that play in the big wave world, as completely WORLD CLASS athletes is a total fool. I watched this video and thought - not on my best, most confident day would I even THINK about paddling out... Back in the day I could hold my breath for a LONG time, I've free dived with no fins to 60+ feet, but what y'all do is just amazing. Lastly, your production values, music and videography are just next level ! Love your channel - I will always follow - just be safe out there ! All the best from South Carolina !
Ned Hart absolutely mental, sooo many waves. Thats the gnarliest Irish slab surfing Ive ever seen, Emerald barrels n everything. Incredible, insane, fair fuks to everyone out that day and props to the local boys, G etc. Sent it.
Nothing like a care-free day of surfing with the boys... Oh, and thank you Nathan for risking your life once again for our viewing pleasure. Would you guys consider making a poster of that wave???
This video is insanely good. Those backlit emerald barrels were mesmerizing. Top work Nate and crew. This bodyboarder definitely approves. What a break!!
Completely insane! Why risk it?!But then absolutely incredible we get to have a glimpse at the raw energy and danger you are able to handle with a smile on your face. You are a unique athlete!
Great session Nathan..Truly mutant slabs. Once again you show the character of a great person by picking up the board debris so it would not have a negative impact on the ocean. Way to represent what FLORENCE is all about. Peace
It's a nice little slab sitting out there with a lovely walk out to your paddle out. If you grow up surfing these kind of waves that is literally how you think.
@@johndoeyedoe dude you can see the tension in the water. everyone knows how dangerous that spot is and their experience allows them to understand that. that doesn't mean they are constantly shitting themselves but that is not a walk in the park for anyone out there.
Beautiful emerald barrels from proper backlit sunshine featuring Irish chargers and their guest Nathan. Sketchy paddle out and hard wave to paddle into. Nate somehow positioned himself just right and paddled into a nice cavern, almost exiting unscathed. Way to go! Seeing some of the rockslide debris on the path to the waves would warrant wearing a helmet, not to mention having one for the sizable barrels. Great slab tour!
helmet 18:02 must be one of the most skillful barrels on a dangerous slab wave ever filmed, only a lot of experience got him through all the tricky parts of this epic Barrel.
Should've shown the paddle in! I was looking forward to seeing how you get back up the rocks at the end of the session, but was disappointed. Sick waves, gnarly is an understatement
A magnificent cathedral that serves as a place for spiritual cleansing and reflection, resembling a precious gem in the light shining through Poseidon's playground. 🔱
That was hectic. Just had anxiety the whole time watching to be honest, reminded me of times I've been in the water and completely outmatched by mother nature (which, btw, would have looked like wind chop compared to this). Wonder where the boogie crew was this day? Seemed paddleable (barely) on a bodyboard as we saw with Tom's wave, and I know there's a lot of Irish bodyboarders that charge, so I'm guessing somewhere else was firing, too.
Wowwww when the light shine through the waves making them this perfect color 😍🤯. This is so beautiful!! Yet it looks so damn dangerous lol. That wave is the beauty and the beast 😂. Thanks for sharing these amazing places!
The colour of that barrel is magical!
Emerald green on our emerald island
Emerald Isle. 😅
@@paulc9848so pretty. 👊 Love the set up on this wave. Nice and shallow.
Beautiful backlit barrels
When I get to heaven I’ll see all those rich blues and greens as I charge those heavenly waves!!
my left ear enjoyed this
My right ear needed the rest so it’s all good 😂
😂 I’m sitting here thinking I just bought these headphones!!

Whole video?
i had the right ear out the whole time, just noticed after reading this 🤣🤣

Lots of boog footage of shock being paddled.
Itacoatiara beach. The most beautiful beach and the heaviest wave in Brazil.
Surely some boogs have paddled it before?
@@nickbradbury1144 yep plenty of footage of boogs there

That backlighting was gorgeous. Incredibly beautiful waves.
The color change on the wave break is insane. Great shots. What a spot.
Slow-mo with the backlight is mental Zord! Dramatic tunes tie it all together. Slabistic Tour!❤🚩🏴☠🔥
Slabtastic tour!! love it.

Music spot on for this footage.
I’ve always been amazed by your ability to surf waves so well for the first time
Not his first time there
Top notch content Nate! Epic montage of prettiest green emerald kegs!
Mahalo Nathan for sharing this greenstone of a slab man! Not in a lifetime people would be able to see this kind of beauty man! Mahalo cheee!🤙🏾
Ned’s waves were unbelievable! Fair play lads!
Ned is a savage! I feel like this is high lights of insanity
This is some of the most beautiful footage of the ocean I've ever seen. Bravo boys
This is one of the best surf videos ever. That first music sequence 🤯
Thank god that there is not so much water moving around.
Music and nature, as always mind-blowing
Stunning nerve wracking just watching ... gorgeous slo mo waves ... thank you for sharing! ... thank you for not getting hurt you guys!
I don’t mind a good hold down but there’s something about that how powerful that surge was in the crevice that got my heart pounding just watching.
As long as you don't lose consciousness you should be right. The crevasses tend to hook you up and hold you down until you can kick free or the force releases you and you pop up like a cork.
Awesome Waves @benlarg 🌊 🌊🌊🌊💚
@@johndoeyedoe the problem is all that air in the water is gonna make it very hard to keep your head up
Those colors are insane
Keeping it Real Nathan! That Grom will hold that advice for ever! Good session!

Never seen colors like this. absolutely beautiful waves! Loved the vid
Unbelievable content, colours & score. Loved it all. Thank you.

You don’t look back in awe of a barrel that often, that color was otherworldly!
10:11 - Good Ol Motorboat Florence!
The speed this dude generates paddling shortboards is a feat of lifelong technique I love to watch.
Epic. My heart and adrenaline is pumped and I was only watching.
Epic rescue! Buy that dude some beers

18:08 those colours 🤯 another sick one legends!
Nate rules the slab search!
Sounds like a choir singing from the rocks celebrating those waves. Mesmerizing.
that walk across the narrow bit scares me more than the surf
Only a few minutes from my place, love watching the surf there, some epic scuba diving & birdwatching close by as well
I'm watching on my phone. Damn, wicked video. I cant wait to cast this onto my TV. Glad everyone made it home.
Emerald colour. Beautiful.
We all made it back to Kennys in one peace😂😂
everything about this spot is just downright menacing
Epic footage - blows my mind how you can read that wave when there is so much water moving - just paddling out is an epic achievement
How do you look that setup and think. yup this looks good, hahaha you are all savages

Could have been carnage on cliff walk above cove also. But then, who can resist those wide open emerald green barrels Nate🤙🏼
Epic and raw nature.
Unreal. So cool how only the barrel is back lit.
