I've been fortunate enough to have a really cool professor for one of my courses. He taught our class American Government and was not biased to any side. And I always found it funny bc he'd bring up many different controversial topics and the entire class would just argue left vs. right politics the entire time, and he'd just look in the back towards me and we'd have this mutual expression on our faces that "these people are fkin nuts" 🤣. I've watched your channel for a bit now and I always appreciate you guys being very level headed. Keep at it.👊🏼
The harm these people have done to gay people is crazy, everyone now thinks our sexuality is a political statement thanks to them. Our entire goal was to be left alone, forcing anyone to agree with us was never a consideration. Her comparison with acceptance didn't work. They weren't asking people to adhere to Ramadan, just to allow others to let them. In the same way, they weren't stopping the events from happening, but they didn't want to attend them (and obviously shouldn't be forced to).
To a lot of people, 'tolerance' means "you're alright as long as you believe what I do".
I can't believe so many schools actually force this crap on kids though. There was a recent poll of 1200 16-18 year olds in the UK:
10% of them want to or have changed their gender,
32% were taught that a woman can have a cock,
20% were taught that a man can get pregnant,
67% were taught that sex is "'assigned' at birth".

Acceptance of LGBTQ people shouldn't be a political issue in a sane world, and we shouldn't be saying it's ok to be intolerant of people for religious reasons at the same time we say you have to be tolerant of religious views that expressly teach intolerance of you or other people. You can't have protection from discrimination AND protection to discriminate at the same time, and that goes for everyone.
