To be honest we haven’t airated the jerry at all, we just release the cap if needed when using it and then the same for when we’re filling it. Once’s it’s down to about half we unscrew the cap about one rotation for airflow and leave it until we’re empty :)
It’s from Howard’s Storage World but I had a look and can’t find it online now, they have similar ones though. HSW are really good for ‘compact’ van friendly stuff (but sometimes pricey 😳)
Hey Guys, another great episode, love the water tank idea something for me to make for my setup. Your information has been invaluable for our plans for the Cape July 2021. Question can you let me know what program you use for video editing ?
Is it just me or does Jayda seem to talk very mature and proper for her age? Not a criticism at all, if anything it’s a credit to your parenting. I know we’re only seeing glimpses of your life but it’s impressive if she speaks like that all the time.
Hey Kale, she has always been a very proper speaker and was speaking English with amazing pronunciation at a very young age compared to her kindy mates. I don't think we did anything different to be honest?? I think language is just a strong area for her. She's always been complimented on her speech as she's grown up 😁
Hay to keep the dust out of your van . You need to have a high Pressure fan . A fan the suck from the outside to the inside with high pressure and that stops the dust for comming . A u tube channel call tripinavan they have it on there caravan and they say it’s the duck nuts and wish they had it year ago to save the cleaning out the red dust all the time .

Great Channel guys. Can SUVs access the main roads up to the Cape? I'm heading up to Cairns in June coming from Melbourne .I wouldn't mind seeing the Cape
Yes you can if you drive to conditions. It's going to be slow going in some places for you but it was the same for us even with the patrol. Make sure you have good roadside assistance and possibly travel with another car if you can? We had a stock Prado in our group do it just fine. Its a beautiful place in Queensland if you can get there!
One question with the water, Just say you have 50% capacity, how would you fill it up without it getting all over you? I feel that valve should be on the other side of the hose fitting. Also, with that extra room, you can fit a 2nd 20L jerry there, and join em up with a T piece.
We fill it together, I watch the jerry while Chris holds the hose. I guess you could do it from the backdoor and watch it fill too as its not attached to anything where it runs next to the fridge. Good idea with the T piece, only reason we didn't is because its another 20L that generally we don't need and approx. 20kg of weight as well.
Hey guys lovong the content and i get jelous everytime i watch whilst at work haha. Also how did you handle the airation of the jerry can to fill and empty it?

I have found one of those little fish dead in that creek, he was cooked through. Not sure if he accidentally cooked himself or if he died beforehand and drifted into the hot water.

Great idea for the jerry tank! Where did you get the dish rack in the van, Sian? That’s quite nifty!
That’s great Kerryn, so glad we’ve been able to help you and your planning! That’s great 👌🏻 We use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing 😁
I did mention about that while chatting, it creates positive pressure and we are aware of them. We just wanted to see if we could solve the issue ourselves without another appliance first. 🤙🏻☺️
Put a breather in the lid, use a motor bike petrol tank breather.
We’ve had a few comments about this! It’s a really great idea, we really need to do it… We are so remote now that it makes it a bit difficult but once we are back in town I think we will ☺️
She is always like that till you get to know her they are nice people lots of pioneering history there they have a good dance an sing along night there to an meals are good people are friendly
I saw a lot of feedback about her but to be honest I don’t assume until I’m there, I was just a bit taken back lol... each to their own though ☺️ wish we could have done more while we were there but one night wasn’t enough to fit much more in.
@@BigOzExplorers the hours she works an cooks most times by herself her husband is a nice chap runs there station once you get to know her she is wonderful the staff are great to saying that I haven't been there in over 2 years but spent a year near there nice quite place .
Hey Damien, to be honest we haven’t airated the jerry at all, we just release the cap if needed and then and same for when we’re filling it. Once’s it’s down to about half we unscrew the cap about one rotation for airflow and leave it until we’re empty :)
Cheers Team👍🏽👍🏽
Love watching you guys.Add what music songs you use?
We get our music from a paid subscription on epidemic sound, it’s all ‘unlicensed’ and not a problem on RUclips 🤙🏻
Double episode this week winning
No too bad eh! It turns our lockdown gives me extra time to edit our backlog lol
Sian the tradie gardening lady. What's next??? 😜😜😜 lol
I don’t know I’ll have to find a way to outdo myself soon 😂😂
@@BigOzExplorers I'm sure you will 👍👍😁😁
Make sure ya keep ya water up to the cotton plant they love water too much 👍
They are so thirsty! Daily or second daily, especially in the hot weather. Between the plant drinking and evaporation, its a full time job lol 🌱
I have found one of those little fish dead in that creek, he was cooked through. Not sure if he accidentally cooked himself or if he died beforehand and drifted into the hot water.
What a mystery! You've just increased my need for answers now lol... I'll need to research them more!
What are the little bags on the end of the fridge?
Do you mean the car fridge or van fridge? The van fridge just has magnetic stubby coolers on it but the car fridge is this navigatorgear.net.au/products/build-it-pocket-buddy?_pos=1&_sid=89be34264&_ss=r
I reckon a shout out to @SeekAdventure for a great easy water system would be ace 👌👌
We heard about his channel a few weeks ago by another traveller, we haven’t watched yet (still catching up on original channels we watch, we need more hours in a day lol!). They said he stopped though which is odd, will be curious to catch up on his story ☺️🤙🏻
Curious if you used the apple level app first and found it was no good? That’s why you went for another app??
To be honest we were total newbies and levelling by eye and with a level when we were told about this way back in the beginning by Carl at EziWeigh, since we’ve had that it’s all we’ve used. I like that it shows levels both ways vs the apple which I don’t think does? I’ve honestly just never tried to use and get used to the apple one after having this ☺️
@@BigOzExplorers all G, the iPhone does both ways - just remember it’s based on the one circle... 🍻🤙
Hi guys if you are looking for a leveling app for Android phones we use a app called clinometer it is very useful. Cheers tom
Thanks Tom for that! We've been told about a few so were going to add them into an episode at some point 😁😁
There is a caravan leveler app for Android on the play store.
Good to know! I was sure one would exist just unfortunate it’s not the same one.
Android App is called " Bubble Level"
thank you
That's the same one I use on my android Pixel 5. On my wife's Samsung it has a built in level you can swipe into the screen from the side
Thanks Lauri! We've also been told another one on socials called "RV Level" which looks similar to what we had on Apple.
How loud were those cicadas
Seriously cicadas ruin our recordings sometimes!!! 😲🤬 Noisy little buggers!
As Laurie said use the Bubble Level app for android.
Thanks Peter!
There is a Android app for Van levelling
That’s good! I think everyone should use one, they’re very accurate ☺️☺️
