Long story short though, him and Luke did the song right before he signed a record deal and the label didn't like that the video had rebel flags in it and made Church remove Lukes name from the song.
With and Luke Combs did a song can I get an oulaw when luke signed with a label they made him take Lukes name of it because of the rebel flags but both were unknown or very little following at that time. I head can I get an outlaw in 2016 I believe.

There are different levels of how copyright works on RUclips. The general rule is 30 seconds... but... certain Labels, UMG will claim over as low as 7 seconds. The second thing to understand is that for independent artists it is not them claiming, but it is the service they use to get their songs on streaming. Tune Core is the one Upchurch uses. I have heard that both Upchurch and Adam will lift copyright but I do not know if that is simply from challenging or if you need to get ahold of them or Mama Church beforehand. Now for remixes, the claims will usually be for the original beats. Now claims were kinda just an 'artist gets any monetezation but now I think that it plays into whether a channel is monetized or not. (Not sure about this) Strikes are another thing and this is 99% of the time done by major record labels. The only way I know of getting a strike via an independent artist is Tom has struck for reacting to a song from his album that is not on streaming. He did shoot out a message to the reactor first before the strike but unfortunately the reactor was sleeping and did not see it in time. Hope this helps out.

And Upchurch does not have a problem with you or any other reactor reacting to the songs it's RUclips algorithm and it tries to pull that crap all the time

Church may or may not respond just because of how many messages he gets from so many people. You can try messaging someone on his team, Patti Burgess, Thomas Toner, or possibly even B-Luce which is his videographer.
I’m thinking it’s someone in the industry from your real job that’s filing these claims. Maybe they’re scared you’re gonna actually say what you do and who you do it for 👀 one day....just a thought. It’s happened before where a troll submitted a claim like they were the artist. It takes awhile for RUclips to straighten it out and figure out it was a troll.
It sucks that the copyright system is all bots. You have to dispute twice to even have a hope of a human looking at it. Problem is that if you dispute twice and they still say its not fair use, then you get a strike. Hopefully church sees your message
Its hard cause the copyright system is completely automated. They automatically flag videos that contain copywritten music. You stand a better chance by doing independent artist. Ive heard of reactors getting striked and they dm church and he will take care of it. Thats assuming he sees it.
