Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Algeria face legal challenges and discrimination not experienced by non-LGBT residents. According to the International Lesbian and Gay Association's May 2008 report, both male and female types of same-sex sexual acts are illegal in Algeria.[3] Homophobic attitudes are normalised within Algerian society, and LGBT people are commonly subjected to discrimination and potential arrest.[4]

This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. Not everyone has the same genetics, and now people are up in arms because she had a “potential” advantage. People need to remember that she has faced other women boxers in the past, and has lost. And there is no proof that she is, or ever was a man.
She has a uterus and a womb. She has periods. If Michael Phelps is allowed to compete I don't know why she wouldn't. Go watch the match, it's milquetoast nothing and the Italian immediately throws in the towel. Khelif has also lost 9 matches in her professional career, which hasn't been going on for very long yet. Are we to believe every one of those was also some secret trans person?
Who said HE has uterus and has periods? Kindly cite your source. IOC never mentioned that, they only said "He was born and raised a female". This doesn't mean that genetically HE is a female. He has XY chromosomes which gives him male power.

Any individual with XY chromosomes is male. Women XX only. Anyone with the chromosome abnormality XXY - usually caused by non-disjunction during meiosis in gamete production - is male.
This is assuming the IBA is correct. Also, the whole point of being intersex is that you aren’t either male or female. But you can land towards one side of the spectrum, and Imane Khelif is clearly a woman.
It has come to our attention that there are concerns regarding the International Olympic Committee. There is a prevailing belief that the committee may not possess the requisite qualifications for their current role. The competitive outcomes, where our female participants are being surpassed by these individuals, have left us deeply disillusioned. This situation not only violates the principles of fair play in sport but also presents an injustice to our female athletes.
Following Khelif's victory over Italy's Angela Carini during the 2024 Olympic Games, rumours surfaced on social media about her gender. These were fuelled by Khelif's disqualification from the 2023 Women's World Boxing Championships organised by the International Boxing Association (IBA) after failing unspecified gender eligibility tests.[2] The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its Paris Boxing Unit stated Khelif was eligible to compete in the Olympics, and criticized the IBA's previous disqualification as "sudden and arbitrary" and taken "without any due process".[3] There is no evidence that Khelif has XY chromosomes or elevated levels of testosterone.
The IOC spokesman, Mr Adams, doesn't clarify anything with his testimony of the Algerian boxer’s lifelong feminine identity. The Algerian has a uterus or not. If so, is the fighter taking performance enhancing substances?
He genuinely is in a hard spot - this really isn’t a ‘transgender’ case. But new definition for disqualification needs to be introduced because ‘it’ was born with both chromosomes no matter what sex its parents declared it to be at birth.
So scientifically u can identify and name a random person's name blood type and what they are 10 years ago but not the biological genetic gender smh... world has just gon dumb
The IBA conducted that test and disqualified him and the other boxer from competition last year. But the IOC relied only on birth certificate and passport plus political agenda.

Where's all people who wants gender equality??? Who said "WHAT A MAN CAN DO, A WOMAN CAN DO"
yall never seen a female with a beard???
I actually have
Shame on the European people
Shes not even from europe
He’s not from Europe. He’s African what’s your point .
If I were in the shoes of Imane, I would aak for a trial of defamation against the Italian one! It is an offense !
That man beat the hell out of that little girl. That's why I don't watch the Olympic anymore.
Shame shame on Olympics 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
00:44 why they say shea not a transgender
@MusingsFromTheJohn00 yea not sure why lots of peaple hating on her tho
funny how you probably can't even run a mile
Shame on you, she is an biological female
@@joelisrael2409 An biological? Really?? An??
Unbelievable.... if this is tolerated now just imagine how far the limits are. People are going to walk around so confused in the future in that case.
Haven't watched any olympic event so far...yuck.
Im looking at that referee sideways as well.
She is completely a female
Imane Khelif is female by birth, punishing her for being strong is discrimination
His birth certificate states a female, but his genetics says he is a he, with XY chromosomes.
Another reason NOT to watch the Olympics. I haven’t watched one minute!!
She is not a TRANSGENDER, she was born female, she has female BODY PARTS, she is female. Most people who are complaining are the same people who dont regard the idea of being born in the wrong body. She has high testosterone and that makes her more competitive just like any of those atheletes...
Thanks for pointing this out, I think the term is Disorder of Sexual Development (DSD)
Perhaps there should be three categories on olympic games: men, women and transgender competitions.
No - that gives legitimacy to the idea there is more than two genders
Born a woman and has a female passport ? Then how do you explain the failed gender tests ? in 2024 is it this hard to tell a man from a woman ?
Yes, it is nowadays. Even people can't define what a woman is.
This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. Not everyone has the same genetics, and now people are up in arms because she had a “potential” advantage. People need to remember that she has faced other women boxers in the past, and has lost. And there is no proof that she is, or ever was a man.
The Italian PM I agree with, she is right on this.
No she isn't
that is a literal dude.
She was born female. It’s on all her legal documents and you can’t change your gender on them in Algeria.
I always thought it was just milktoast - thank you for cleaning that up!
Who said HE has uterus and has periods? Kindly cite your source. IOC never mentioned that, they only said "He was born and raised a female". This doesn't mean that genetically HE is a female. He has XY chromosomes which gives him male power.
Funny how nobody cared about her in 2020 when she lost to an Irish girl.
HE*
@@raynwolfsbane2084 no literally when was the outrage then
@@jakegray2585 so are you are saying humans with vaginas can also be men? How very woke of you.
@@BigHeelJohnsondou understand the meaning of post-op ! 🤡
I think you’re missing the point…deliberately.
I got taught a man shouldn't hit a woman
World standards are at a all time low 😢
Wokeness ruining everything… as usual
For the ppl that are spreading miss information. She was born female, registered as a female since birth. Picture of her in elementary school as a yong girl are available online.
She does have a medical condition that causes her body to produce higher levels of testosterone.
Edit: typos
Yes
She should be disqualified then - she looks like a linebacker
No sorry its not a mindfield its a case of saftey in boxing for women
Tolerant Europe moment
Agree with Title. "Not a transgender case" BUT, XY as is XX, is a proven scientific science, for just over a 100 years.
Absolutly a man, i can see he is trying his best to convince the public. Disqualifying him is the solution.Seems someone as usual pushing this badly. Im very sad to see such unfairness!
They said she’s a Biological female. Do you need to personally see her uterus to believe it?
Another reason NOT to watch the Olympics. I have watched one minute!!
Any individual with XY chromosomes is male. Women XX only. Anyone with the chromosome abnormality XXY - usually caused by non-disjunction during meiosis in gamete production - is male.
Gender aside, the weights and reach of the fighter's was unfair in my opinion
WOKE
It's called cheating there should be a different category police should have found another one that was just like she is
Again it's called cheating whichever way they can cheat it's terrible
It is not a transgender issue, it is an actual issue of misgendering the guy his whole life to the point that he now believes he's a woman XD
This is assuming the IBA is correct. Also, the whole point of being intersex is that you aren’t either male or female. But you can land towards one side of the spectrum, and Imane Khelif is clearly a woman.
Let the committee get in the ring with him
TL:DR man bashes woman while the left cheers him on.
Don't hate the player hate the game
The IOC should be held accountable for this. Why do the women get in the ring???boycot!!!!!
Look at the Chinese 🇨🇳 3X3 basketball women team!
Two of them are men and still lost to Canadian 🇨🇦 women by a wide margin. LOL
This is a terrible idea. It’s dangerous.
That kind of entitlement goes too far..
Boycott Olympics
The IOC spokesman, Mr Adams, doesn't clarify anything with his testimony of the Algerian boxer’s lifelong feminine identity. The Algerian has a uterus or not. If so, is the fighter taking performance enhancing substances?
look at this circus
Disgusting
Absolutely outrageous.
He genuinely is in a hard spot - this really isn’t a ‘transgender’ case. But new definition for disqualification needs to be introduced because ‘it’ was born with both chromosomes no matter what sex its parents declared it to be at birth.
😂😂😂 just here with my popcorn🍿 as the world falls apart😂😂😂
Test for dna.
The IBA already did last year and disqualified 2 boxers including Imane, but the IOC relied only on passport and birth cert
Is Italy just going to swallow that? It's a shame.
الملاكمة الايطالية ضعيفة جدا😂
It is a man fighting a woman
It's a women do your research
I feel bad for real women, i am very sorry that the world doesn't respect your ladies
So scientifically u can identify and name a random person's name blood type and what they are 10 years ago but not the biological genetic gender smh... world has just gon dumb
No. You’re just not smart enough for the conversation. The American schooling system needs an overhaul, that’s the real crisis here.
The IBA conducted that test and disqualified him and the other boxer from competition last year. But the IOC relied only on birth certificate and passport plus political agenda.
Its illegal to be transgender in Algeria.....shes been fighting for over 6 years, shes fought in the Olympics before and failed to get a medal. One Italian boxer cries foul and the whole world freaks out. Shes has pictures of her as girl at 6-7 years old. What are we doing people?
the Italian boxer last Olympic lost against a Turkish boxer and she was crying more than that, and the Algerian boxer lost 9 games before
Olympics promoting LGBT as per the plan
