Some of us don't have room to send the exhaust all the way back with proper mufflers, so I thought I'd give this muffler a try and the DB didn't go down at all but it does absorb some of the loudness at idle, personally I'm not impressed I wish it be way quieter but I'll take what I can get especially with the limited amount of room I have, the cam probably doesn't help so it might be quieter on a v8 with closer cam specs to a factory one
I have been looking at this resonator for some time now. So what I am hearing from other people who have used this resonator is that it only cuts down on the rasp, but it almost has the same loudness as a straight pipe. So it's basically just a tone cleaner. Is that your conclusion as well?
@Spread Deez Hazelnutz it's funny because it seems to cut the tone down but volume is the same if that makes sense? On 4 and 6 cylinders they sound the same but on v8 it does clean it up more effectively its still loud but it's better than nothing I got this because I don't have room for a full exhaust if you have room for a real muffler then I'd get that, that's my take on it
@@nickr6184 it was still too loud over all but it wasnt as buzzy sounding if that makes sense. This thing was 130 bucks i probably wouldn’t buy it again only because it didn’t quiet it down which is what i was hoping for
@@Dannymclovin yea i mean resonators aren’t ment to cut down sounds so much but the tone of the exhaust so i can see the confusion of calling “ultra quiet”
I promise you it’s close to the same the video doesn’t do it justice i would do more testing but i already changed the setup and got rid of it 126 dollar resonator isn’t not as good as a $47 thrush hush muffler
@@r.k862 who told you it was restrictive? My car still builds boost even with the cutout closed and what is it that your looking to do with your vehicle anyways tell me the setup and what your hoping to achieve noise wise
@@Dannymclovin I got 370z with invidia catback N1 exhaust. The exhaust is very loud. I want to quiet down the exhaust by a lot without restricting the HP performance of the car. From my research perforated muffler hinders performance unless I can be proven wrong with facts. That's why I'm thinking of going with straight through designs. I'm thinking of installing vibrant resonators because it's got a lot of packing material inside vs a muffler that isn't straight and can restrict performance. Let me know what you think I would like to know. Thanks

@@r.k862 sadly performance sometimes is loud id install quiet mufflers and just add two cut outs seems like the most logical thing in your situation
