Wow, thanks for the account of this battle. My father-in-law served on Canberra. He stepped off to stand by his new ship the HMAS Arunta. He lost a lot of friends during this action. He went on to serve with the other Australian ships under the mixed task forces. Going to the Phillipines and the end of the war. Great series.
