Yes, indeed, the number of companies (banks, IRS, etc) that download a PDF file without attaching the *.PDF extension is astounding. No, I have my Win 10 64 bit computer set so it ALWAYS shows file extensions.
I left for lunch today and came back and now my Surface Book 2 says it can not find the .pdf file I am clicking on. It also says it cannot find Acrobat DC. I reinstalled and regedit remove Acrord32.exe and nothing works. I have never had this problem before in 20 years.
Didn't help. There isn't one pfd file I can open now on my computer. They all say the same thing that it could not open the file because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged. I had no problem with any of these files previously. Makes no sense?

Conclusion: As of Jan 28, 2020, Adobe Reader DC is officially a "damaged goods software", straight out of box, or fresh from download. Why Adobe does not care about this is a mystery to me.

that is adobe payment. we're trying to avoid monthly adobe payment that not usually using.
