- let's do a tour of my new studio space! Help me find the quirkiest, fun decor for dopamine decor room ideas. I am in the process of looking for new furniture, appliances, decorations and smart integrations. All advice welcome! I was torn between this space and a small warehouse space, but I didn't want to spend time renovating and sound proofing a warehouse space like most youtubers do. I wanted something small and quaint and...homey!

Good luck on it Jackie we all wish u luck and we all luv u!
Lovely place 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Make your own wall paper
Take some dollar store makeover ideas from your friend Moriah Elizabeth .
I’m looking the enthusiasm you have and I love seeing that smile on your face again…
Just make sure you take time for yourself and don’t over work your back to much, you don’t need to be sitting in the bull pen on time out..
Congrats Jackeh! Don't get rid of the bar sweetie... Turn it around to go in the corner and make drawers for it. Stain it dark brown and it will be your own bespoke cyberpunk unit. Think how much more storage you would have there as well. 😊
what an amazing Idea omg
I was thinking the same thing. ❤
Oooo them stained dark brown and use the shelves for your apothecary theme would be super cool.
Glad someone beat me to it.
I agree! Storage is valuable! Plus the top, find some marble or granite for a countertop and it gives you an easy clean worry free extra counter needed at times to set things to cure, dry, cool down, and etc! And you could when make pipe handles for the drawers and one on the side for hanging a hand towel...
I don't know if someone in the comments said it already, but Jackie, I beg you : contact nerdforge about your decor concept. They are from Norway, so they probably won't be able to come over and help you out, but I'm sure they would have great tips and can maybe make some 3D prints or paintings or something for you.
I was just thinking that myself. They are brilliant.
I just posted about Nerdforge :)
Yes!! For example, watch the Nerdorge episode where they turned a kitchen into a post-apocalyptic Fallout kitchen. Freaking amazing!! They are exactly who I immediately thought of when she said she wanted steampunk
Omg yes, nerdforge makes the coolest stuff!
ALL THOSE BLANK WALLS!! So much potential 😍 if you ever want a mural.. 👀👀👀 so excited for your new chapter!!! Congratulations sweet Jackie! 🧡
A MURAL WITH HER CUTE DRAGON CHARACTER! AHHHHH THAT WOULD BE SO CUUUTE
Yes, please! That would be totally awesome.
I love this idea!! Using @ChloeRoseArt style with an idea Jackie comes up with....would make a cool video too
YYYAAASSS!!
I want this collab so much!!
An idea to make the studio more chronic pain- friendly: I'd recommend having a small rest area for you downstairs. like, add a massage chair and a place you can lie down and rest if you need to due to pain and tiredness, without needing to get up the stairs
And add a railing to those stairs
Great idea, especially once I saw the stairs.
I agree with a place to lay down and rest the back.
Jackie! I hope you haven't gotten rid of the bar yet. You can actually turn it around & put it in the corner to use for your apothecary items. Or take it apart & line it against the wall. Of course it would need paint & getting rid of the holders for the top of the bar are necessary, but, it would be soooo useful for that space. Good luck! Love the new space! MY TIP: try to save what you can in terms of shelving because you may be able to use it. Also, older furniture made of wood lasts longer than all the new stuff.
I was thinking the same thing
Dopamine decor! I never heard of it before, but seeing it I realize that it is TOTALLY my vibe!!
Right?? I love that vibe
I'll check it right away! I so want that in my room!!! ❤
Hard same!
Yea
This is also my first time hearing it and yeah I am very much going to be redoing some of my space like this. and also maybe some dark academia/cyberpunk/horror
I know you deal with a lot of health issues, I would suggest putting in a railing for the stairs. When I was younger the railing to my stairs had spindles and blocked off the stairs and made it difficult to bring stuff in and out, so I removed them. My dad insisted I put a simple one against the wall. I am glad he did when I developed arthritis in my knees.
Your pink chair with the strawberry pillow is giving me a real Moriah Elizabeth vibe.
True
I was getting Mia maples vibes actually
I was thinking Mia maples
I thought the same thing lol ❤
As an amateur potter with a home studio that hasn't been used in a few years due to health stuff, I would LOVE to see pottery content from you! It would definitely inspire me now that I am able to start throwing again.
Also, I haven't renovated anything, but I can give you one tip. Make sure you have really good ventilation in your kiln room!
For the steampunk part: Nerdforge did some awesome work in their studios over the years - I remember them also turning random bottles into potions in one of them 😊
Is it to be a new home for Pat and you or really just a HUGE Studio place ? I am very excited for the final decor and everything 🩷
I'm glad you asked cause I had the same question!
So so happy for you!!! a space dedicated to your crafting and projects always makes things so much nicer than having everything kind of crammed into one room! I mean, we all make do, but a bigger space for your designated stuff is just so nice!
Oh please make a video about transforming those jars into apothecary jars! I would love to see how you do that!
I recommend a ceiling fan. I end up crafting in my living room most times because of the ceiling fan. Finally bought one for my craft room and can't wait for it to be installed.
Studio?
Is it not a house?
Can't wait to see your vision come to life! The steam punky area sounds amazing.
It's great to see you happy and smiling/ laughing
You can use the 50s brown cabinet as part of your steam punk/ apothecary part of the studio as it will display your objects really well and it’s also of that era of steam punk. Sand it and restrain and add black/gold to the raised elements on the unit and then wax to seal. 🇬🇧🙂
Studio?! I could live there! 😍
What an amazing space! Tip: always get swatches or small snippets to see what everything looks like in the space before you commit. I learned that the hard way. lol
Ohhhhhh I didn’t think of that!! Thank you😍
Bonus is, all the different paint swatch cards and wood/tile samples you get can free from hardware stores etc can be used for craft - off the top of my head, Chloe Rose and Socraftastic have both used some to make decor 😊
I’m 4”11 and I have multiple stools and ladders for my kitchen 😇 I still love all that storage! So happy for you guys!
This is such an exciting new space! So much potential for all your creative ideas!! 🥹✨
I can’t wait to share fun new projects 😭❤️ thank you for being such a lovely energy here!
One of my little tips for decorating/renovating, if you have black furniture you wanna change up and make into that steampunky vibe, gilding wax is amazing. Give it a brush on, fairly roughly and it seems like weathered gold/brass
I didn't realize it but ive been decorating my home in dopamine decor the whole time 😂 I'm a simple creature, i see cute fun decor that i like, i buy it and put it up in my house 😂
Please do a day in the life of you doing morning routine in this new house and what you're opinion is about it and clean it and looking for Fournette please do one or all in different vids and then combined them all together in one long fun volg i would LOVE that
And Jackie the tv stand should be all of the pastel colors you have it's your personality honey
Omg, steampunkalldapunkpothecary perfect, yup, awesome vibes
AHHHH so excited!!! You have to use LED lights somewhere!!! If you use the strips and have a semi opaque cover on them they look really cool(and very colorful and shiny). Fairly easy to figure out or find a video on them. I love bee and steampunk and I am in love with that bee clock and am so excited to see either in the future!!!!
Just adding to the light comment: they make vintage Edison light bulbs ( that is what they are called). They would go wonderfully with the steam punk esthetic.
Just to let you know cyberpunk and steam punk are two different esthetics.
Tips for pottery: humidity control!
#1) step stools for the kitchen 😅, #2) love steampunk, #3) love all the storage. #4) use that wood from the bar for shelving in the steampunk area. And finally, I really enjoy your channel. Congratulations on the new space.
Idk, i personally love things in over/undersize, for example I loved the artattack set soo much as a kid😂
But I kind of feel like the right upstairs bedroom, the headpart of bed needs to go in that little closet space!!
Jackie I have a good idea! So picture this :all of ur walls are white and one is a different color or a wallpaper that is different and unique! ❤ Also I love ur channel and am obsessed with ur crafts u make!💗💕
Congrats Jackie!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Lol. For the record, I have to reach the high shelves for my miniature mother.😂
Same! My mom always said that she married my dad cause he's tall and she wanted to have tall children to help reach those tall shelves for her. 😔
No offense but sounds like Peet montzingo to me.
Step stools are a wonderful thing!!😂
a step stool is a must for the kitchen.
BRING THE NERDe BACK IN JACKIE!! I LOVE IT. So happy for you
My daughter and I are so proud of you! You inspire creativity and kindness and inclusion! You deserve your new space! For decor ideas, do not underestimate estate sales. Good luck and we are excited to go on this journey with you!
Congrats on your new studio!! 🤍
Aww, congratulations on such a beautiful space! Excited to see how it all comes together 🧡🧡🧡
Thank you🥰
"Steampunk, cyberpunk, apothecary vibe" I love the sound of that, best of luck with all of it!🙂
Totally freakin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so happy for you….
Congratulations. Hope someone gives you a step stool for your kitchen as a housewarming gift or studio warming gift as it were. 💜
Just you being there..... makes it perfect........................ I disgusted myself with that too.
Lol you’re adorable😆❤️ you’re always such an awesome cheerleader!!! Thank you
I'd say re-use the bar by flipping it around as shelf/storage for all your potions. A trick I learned was to make a cheap wood stain with vinegar and a steel sponge. Like the ones you use for scrubbing pans and pots.
Steel sponge in vinegar will make it rust. That's the point for the solution is the stain. Use an ordinary sponge or rag to then stain the wood shelves and you have your apothecary/steampunk shelves. Sorry, if this has already been suggested
😅
Cries .... hearing the 60s described as vintage ( the 60s were part of my childhood !)
Right?! I was born in the 60's also! Lol
Same. 😅
Yeah…. She means retro, not vintage! 🤭😂😂😂
90’s is ‘vintage’ now. We feel your pain! 😂
I love steampunk and the jars and bottles. That bee clock is nice. I like the pipes too. Your going to have a great time decorating, can't wait to see it all done🎉
Wallpaper isn’t just for walls, either. You can use it on cabinet doors, inside shelves, or cover some boxes for decoration… the possibilities are endless! Use the leftovers after you’ve finished your walls to help tie everything together.
I'm super excited to see everything ready and this new phase... Your videos are inspirations and knowing that you'll return to your little creations makes me even happier. A hug from Portugal 😃
SO SO SO SO EXCITED JACKIEEEEEE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR NEW VIBES IN ITTT
I'm also five foot nothing. You need a foldable kitchen step ladder for all of those high cabinets, prefereably one you can tuck away or hang up. The high cabinets are a good place to chuck stuff like the really big tupperware you don't need as often etc. Mine has the fancy dishes, plastic containers and the baking forms etc. And the unopened stuff like kitchen paper rolls etc. Dopamine decor goes well with maximalist ideas, colours, shapes, textures. I'd also go with textures you love, not just colours so that everything will get used and not subconsciously avoided. One nice thing is window films. Privacy, fake leaded glass look, or straight up rainbow effect ones where it refracts the light into rainbows on the wall. There's a lot of easy install option films for windows. Ones that reduce the light coming in, or stop heat if for example south facing windows. I'd look into those as you'd probably prefer privacy and it's another easy way to add interest, colour or practicality.
Hooray! New studio!
Yes, I understand about space & storage. I just got my own crafting/ sewing room.
I’m 5’2 and a lady I dog sat for her microwave was sooo tall. I almost needed a stool to get stuff in and out.
I highly recommend going to craft shows to get some cute and unique pieces for your new place! They are smaller sellers and it gives back to the art community which you are a part of. I have found some of the weirdest and coolest things at craft shows.
Congratulations on the new studio.
Are we going to see Sika again?
Congratulations, Spoonflower has great services. They work with artist/people to transfer photos/artwork/patterns into... many things. Many types of fabric, wallpaper, wallart, curtains, or whatever. I quilt and love them.
Instant tip from your list: avoid wallpaper. If you can accomplish the effect with paint, go for it. Wallpaper is basically Satan on wheels putting it up and taking it back down if you decide to make changes later.
Lol I used to HATE wallpaper but seeing how some can really elevate a room has convinced me (peel and removable easily too)
@@nerdecrafter Yeah. . . Everything I ever dealt with was the soak it, it flops everywhere and schmacks ya in the head, fight the blade until it finally sticks to the wall. Taking down was always soak the wall, hope it peels more than just the top layer, spend days scraping the bottom layer with a putty knife. If they've improved all that, I'd be even willing to give wallpaper another chance. (Also, may or may not be harboring ill will from the last two weeks of removing wallpaper) Lol
Steam punk ordaments are beautiful and you look soooooo happy love ya lots xxx Lynda from South Australia Australia xxxx
- THAT VENT EXTENDER!!
Of all the wonderful things you showed, what did I focus on?
That awesome heat vent extender!!!
You just need a couch with appropriate under-dimensions😊
CONGRATULATIONS JACKIE!!
Lol I can’t take credit for the vent extender. That’s the previous inhabitants who made it and left it for me 😆
Congratulations Jackie! What a wonderful space!
Thank you🥰🥰
Hello love the new studio
I am SO late but SO FREAKING PROUD OF YOU!!!!! I have watched your channel for years!! Ugh I love you truly !!!!!! Go Jackie!
You should paint the outlet and light switch covers in whatever the vibe of room the room is
don't just paint them... customize them with air dry clay for each area
@@CreativeEmyESSSS
I’d paint the table and the dark stand for some storage space that will go with the dopamine decor.
If you get some wallpaper make it be you're favorite characters from any movie or show or youre ocs!
I love the aesthetic they have going on already. I am all about rustic-industrial along with some cyber-punk and steam punk aesthetics. I also love apothecary shops. I can't wait to see what you turn the studio into.
I’d recommend painting the walls fun colors. Maybe with painted oversized shapes. Definitely need a multi function desks. Like maybe those electric adjustable height ones.
Yes!! I’ve been debating large colorful shapes too
My thoughts... keep the wall colors fun, but simple. That way, you can add to and change up decor without worrying if it will "go." Or maybe do the shapes on one of each of the guest rooms. Maybe if you are going to have fellow creatives stay, they can add something to the wall?
@@nerdecrafter If you want bright artistic colors on some walls you might consider using renter friendly wallpaper.
It's made to come off clean so it might be easier to regularly change if you wanted to.
I love the idea of bright decor. For high places get yourself a reacher if you don't already have one. You can use it to reach higher things, retrieve things on the ground & best of all retrieve socks from behind the dryer.
You might be able to reuse the bar as a apothecary area/display etc.
Ahhhhhh!!! I'm so so excited for you! You're going to make this space so great!
I can’t wait to have new videos in a new studio I would recommend like a nice turquoise or any colour u want
You can look up "resale shops", sometimes locals will have neighborhood shops, or older neighborhoods will just leave furniture out front for anyone to pick up, that is how I found my China cabinet, and my "adopted" kids found their new kitchen/living room chairs. Places that benefit Veterans are also good to pick up odds and ends.
for collabs: you may need to purchase a coffee maker, I used to love the Black and Decker. Happy New place time!! Sometimes, you can find a Salvage store or fair that will have interesting things. My Dad and his siblings were fond of telling dumpster diving stories. Usually, furniture is not -in- the dumpster, it is near it at apartment complexes.
Home Depot or a local hardware store will likely have pipes or PVC pipes that you can buy and spray-paint if you wish to add more pipeage to your décor. I like your bee clock and your joyousness.
Congratulations 🎉
Can you put a "hanging bubble plant" also called "Senecio Rowleyanus" on one of the wooden shelves shown in the kitchen upstairs besides the fridge?!?! Pleeeaaassseee it would look so fairy like!!! And congratulations on your new studio! I'm sure there will be good content made in it!
Edit: you could do such cool podcast-content from your cyberpunk-corner downstairs!😱😱😱
Congratulations so excited for you ❤ you deserve it 🎉😊
It would be so cool to have Moriah Elizabeth come paint a mural or piece of furniture!
I feel you on being short. Im 4' 10" and can't reach much without a step stool. Congrats on the new space. im excited to see what you do with it.
Congrats on the new space. Call the sorry girls they are a Canadian based design and diy channel. They will bring your dream dopamine decor space to life.
This looks like you’re going to have so much fun! I’m excited for you. If you need any fun fabrics Spoonflower has anything you can imagine, really, you can make your own prints too. I look forward to seeing what you do with the space. ❤
If never heard of that theme before, I'm in love. It's going to look so great! ❤
Looks forward to seeing how you express yourself in the great new space
So we not gonna talk about the weird little tunnel in the livingroom? Just not gonna address it?
The previous owners must have had a piece of furniture that covered the vent, so they did that. It do be cold in Canada sometimes. lol!
I love the steam bunk idea.
so proud pf you all
Omg you need to make a DIY series!!!
Love your content
I heard if you say your fav RUclipsr 3 times you get pinned

No pin, but you get a hug!! ❤️❤️
@@nerdecrafter Ty
Also are the keyboards still haunting you?
Peel and stick wallpaper and chalk paint make decorating much easier.
I’m so happy your moving in to a new home I love hobby lobby and Pinterest for decor hobby lobby have a lot of ideas you can use for decor and Pinterest as diy things you can do for rooms plus decor
i love storage and organization - i geek out over it
For the bottles put cork in them then put coloured wax on top of that
I’m also only 5ft, I have a small collapsable step stool for my kitchen as well as my closet. Trust me, you’ll need one to make life easier haha
Step ladder for house warming! Beside that, get things you like and they tend to go together!
I love it Jackie, so happy for you. Yes, do the steam punk apothecary!
I would love to see a nerdforge collab in that Steampunk apocathary area! I think between you you'd nail the vibe and the content could be so good!
Another option for obtaining jars, and a fun way to up cycle, is to reuse glass candle containers. Once you have used your candle to the fullest and it won't light anymore; to remove the left over wax all you have to do is boil some water and fill the candle's glass. Once it is cooled off (i find it depends on the size of the container) most of the wax will have floated to the top and solidified. However some wax residue might still remain and can be washed out with dish soap and hot water if you so desire. There are a few videos online showing the process. :3 Can't wait to see this all come together! I am very excited to see what you do~
Congratulations 🩷 can't wait to see all you create and think of all those you will inspire and touch from that space 🥰
So happy for you to move to this new chapter. On a second note the wood from the bar would make a good back drop, if you want that pipe kind of style
Oh, hey, that's exciting! I'm happy for you, and I'm excited to see what happens =)
Tips: 1) mint essential oil (plus water in a spray bottle, preferably glass)--spray around doors, windows, and baseboards, etc.. This is a natural spider deterrent =)
2) Put a rolly cart in the deepest part of that closet under the stairs. Otherwise stuff gets inaccessible and/or forgotten.
Ohhhh smart!! Thank you
Anything goes with industrial (love it)
Congrats Jackie sweet pea, you definitely deserve this opportunity and I am looking forward for your new updates and opportunities that come your way 😊
What a joyful video! It is wonderful to see you so excited about your new studio. Yes, storage space IS exciting! You will have a place for everything - that's fantastic! I am looking forward to seeing each space some alive ala Jackie. Take care and stay safe 💕💕
Congratulations Jackie, so happy for you. Let the creativity flow
Congratulations Jackie!! So happy for you and excited for your theme. 🎉😘❤
