if you think about it the ending is definitely the best. because in the anime during 1st episode to 5th they show that kaori is beginning to remember the boy frequently and capable of developing her feelings for the boy. and later episodes she is definitely inlove. the way she makes him lunch and hold his hands are not a normal FRIEND would do. plus she's started to feel the so called jealous it means she FELL for the boy BUT during the near ending episodes with the envolvement of the NEW guy, kaori lost her memory completely so all the thins they did since the 1st episode? going to beach? karaoke? spend the whole summer together? well kaori lost all of it so the boy started from the scratch no lovey dovey feelings from kaori and still kaori fell inlove again. TRUE SHE HAVE THE DAIRY. but as kaori said she remember all by reading but not the feeling of it. the anime tackle the problem really neat.
Although me and i think the other fans as well really wanted to see more romance in this anime. There were signs but it really just was lacking. Even in the manga Hase's confession got cancelled due to his other friends appearing at a cliche moment. The author made a new manga though this 2021 so i expect to FINALLY see more romance otherwise that romance tag would really be just a lie.
i think the anime ending is still better than the LA ending :") even thought fujimiya says she want to make a friend to hase, atlest he know the person she talked to is hase, and even she also remembered hajime she didnt fell in love with him, and hajime relize that it's all his fault, so he didn't bothered the relationship between fujimiya and hase, and untill the end hase never give up to fujimiya aleast it's a good route, and even it's a friends, it's a friends in a good way. but brooo the LA ending :") that's the real definition of getting "friendzoned" it's hurt so much :') after she get her memmories about hajime back he's getting closer to him, and didn't remembered anything about hase until the last minutes of graduation, and it's still due to hase who make a comic in the books and finally she remembered hase, and after that she says that she want to make hase to be his "friends" just because she already have the relationship with hajime. like broooo c'mon :" hajime didn't even tell anything about the truth who is the one who always help fujimiya all this times, in LA hajime is such most bad person in my opinion, he just like hide the truth, he dont even let fujimiya remembered anything about hase, he don't even relize his fault, he's the one who make fujimiya lost her memmories again, he's the one who couse the trouble off all this time, and he just want to keep fujimiya for him self alone untill the end of the film. iwe're who already knows this story from the anime version, knows how important the dairy is, and how the personality of hase who never give up to fujimiya but brooooooo :" in LA we can see that hase finally get enough and give up to fujimiya after she remembered hajime and she relize that he didn't even have a single change to getting close anymore to fujimiya, so he just burn the dairy by him self like broo c'mon :") we're who already watch the anime version just get hurt so much in this scene, bcs we're knows how really important that diary andalso remembered the anime version where hase try to find the fujimiya's dairy for 2 days
+Ninja Krucho Just a harmony issue, When you sing a harmony that is always in the same intervals and was not intended, it hurts your ears. This version needs minor fixings. WIsh i could do it but don't have the software to doit.
The harmony is wierd. This may not be an official duet but I guess the creator just mashed two voices at different ranges. Certain parts may work yet others don't work as well. There are harmony rules to follow when doing these kinda things but this example is just being lazy. Although if you have the ability to mash songs like this, you can go back and fine tune the harmonies according to their rules and the end result would be an ear orgasm.
