    I'm gutted as I cared for the kid but I don't know if he'll find another coach who actually cared for him beyond the game like Prime didn't. He will need that degree because the NFL is not promised to anyone.
    This is the one kid I'd hate to see become a typical stereotype.

    McClain had too much going on and I think Prime got tired of it. Late and missing meetings. Not going to glasses. Have not practiced since the week before spring break. I believe there was a discipline issue. I hate to see him go, but maybe he needed a fresh start. Best of luck to him.

    Bye. He didn't have it in him to endure the challenges to be great. Prime gave him every opportunity, now he wanna go somewhere that has lesser corners and hope he can reset himself. Why? He wasn't going to start again this year. 5 stars in HS doesn't mean you'll be great in college.

    I feel like CU wasn’t the best fit for Cormani. Once he feels at home somewhere he’ll correct the mistakes he made at CU and I believe he’ll have a successful football career. Losing him feels unfortunate in the moment (I was excited to watch him & Trav) but he & Prime can both succeed without the other so I wish him well on his journey 🙏

      DJ was GIVEN a spot! He couldn’t TAKE anything at Oklahoma State though? What’s the reason he didn’t crack that starting lineup for good after 3 years in college already? if it was taken then he took it from Omarion Cooper. Cormani played the last 3 games cause he “had to due to depth” remember

    • @93wines
      @93wines Месяц назад +2

      This is DJ’s 3rd season, he’s a sophomore this year…but he definitely finished the season with numbers as if he was starting. He finished with the best numbers in the DB room at OK state. I agree that he didn’t take Cormani spot because Cormani was never the official starter and they moved cooper to safety before DJ committed.

    Coach Prime is a disciplinarian. I don’t want to say that not having a strong male-figure in the home has anything to do with Cormani’s circumstance. There have been many athletes who’ve come from single-mother homes that have gone on to be great in their respective sports; even to being inducted into the Hall of Fame. I just get the feeling that Cormani has been surrounded, coddled and guarded by enablers and yes-men throughout his career. I’ve seen glimpses of his potential to be great. I wish the kid well, honestly. When Coach Prime said, from day one, that rankings don’t mean anything to him; he meant it. Talent without discipline has a short shelf-life. Kobe Bryant (R.I.P. Momba) was IMMENSELY talented. But he would always say that he practiced and trained like he didn’t possess any skills at all. That’s a true winner’s mentality.
    People are saying that going back home and playing for a team closer to home might be better for Cormani… perhaps. But that may also mean that he would have easier access to the very enablers that probably contributed to his character as it currently is. Again; I wish him well.

One thing they will sure find out. Cormani never proved anything to anyone. His Mom had the audacity to tweet go where You celebrated not tolerated, that in itself is a tell, tell sign. This is College not HS, period. Not a good look but wish Him well. So everyone can stop asking and hopefully He’ll learn.
