I have been following Maddy for well over a decade since she was a teen and her first home recordings. Nothing fake about it. As a musician I can tell if something is pitch controlled. The vast majority of what she sings is not touched, and she NEVER uses universal pitch correction. There is no way to get her vocal flexibility, the classical control of Vibrato etc in a pitch controlled environment. She has had a LOT of training not just for her voice but on guitar and piano. In fact I play and sing a lot of her songs and use Maddy as the benchmark for my quality. Im not saying she does her entire songs in one take.. that would be impossible with the lack of mistakes. But who does these days when we have good DAW's ? I would like to hear her live to see what the difference is though.

I have been following Maddy for well over a decade since she was a teen and her first home recordings. Nothing fake about it. As a musician I can tell if something is pitch controlled. The vast majority of what she sings is not touched, and she NEVER uses universal pitch correction. There is no way to get her vocal flexibility, the classical control of Vibrato etc in a pitch controlled environment. She has had a LOT of training not just for her voice but on guitar and piano. In fact I play and sing a lot of her songs and use Maddy as the benchmark for my quality. Im not saying she does her entire songs in one take.. that would be impossible with the lack of mistakes. But who does these days when we have good DAW's ? I would like to hear her live to see what the difference is though.
