🚨 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙑𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙉𝙊𝙒! 🚨 I called on all my 𝗷𝗮𝘇𝘇 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗸, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 to come learn and dance this combo, and…well, they 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 got the message. ☎️😉 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨!

This is a combo that I teach the teens at Jump Dance convention, so it is meant to push my students 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 and give them an opportunity to 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 outside of their comfort zones. The LA industry needs more of that type of 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, so I thought I’d 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 😉👩🏼‍🍳✨and I mean, who 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣’𝙩 love a good instrumental dance breakdown!? 😜

For this kind of routine, you truly have to 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵, 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹, & use a lot of 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲. 🖌️ Plus, especially with a song like this, you gotta bring that 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿! And, for the cherry on top 🍒, try to make it look easy 😅. Let me tell you, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗼! 💁🏼‍♀️

That’s why it’s a good thing 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗶𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝘆 😜 Thank you, dancers, for putting your heart on the floor 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. ❤️‍🔥 Both, familiar and new faces continue to show up to my classes, eager to be 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲. It genuinely lights me up to help make my students 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲, and…it doesn’t hurt that we have 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙛𝙪𝙣 together, too. 😎🎉

There are so many moments in this choreography to execute and deliver, to 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗿𝘁 a little…to 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳𝗳 a little…🤪🤸🏼‍♀️ and let me tell you, these dancers brought all the 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀…𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁. 🌟 Check it out and get a little dose of energy for your day.

I thought it was really interesting that the choreography when first performed by a woman solo was boring and the usual "make sexy faces and shake your ass." But when next performed by a man solo the choreography really shone and became something better.
ETA: the trio was amazing tho. And the 3rd female soloist with the braids dressed in grey was amazing. Such precision. And the female soloist in black with the knee brace was fierce.
