Dudhsagar falls, Braganza Ghats | Vasco De Gama to Londa Junction, Goa Express

Boyhood dream of conquering the Sahyadris in Western Ghats came true during my journey on the Braganza ghat section from Kulem to Castle Rock.
Dudhsagar is a sight to behold and I was awestruck by its beauty and massive size.
Apart from the waterfall, the ghat section is a heaven during monsoon or rains for tourists.
The ghat is one of the toughest with the steepest of grades. Additional two banker locomotives have to be attached at the rear side of the train for smooth operation. The bankers are attached at Kulem and released at Castle Rock which are respectively the starting and end point of this Ghat section.
Rains bring a lot of mist with them, adding to the mystical journey across Western Ghats.
