Missing out man, carrot offensively resting characters is insane played in 3 and lost in 1 to bonney in finals cause dude drew the nuts with jinbe and jack and i couldnt answer it fast enough but carrotnis a sleeper pick if you have some good mink stuff
But it requires your poop to have and maintain the minks type characters. So you might get the nuts pool for carrot bust most the times not, plus after this set it useless unless there's another minks focus
So basically the generically good cards I show you are already just good. So look at what makes them good and apply them to cards that can now use their effects since they are being unlocked by having a leader of all color or types. For example 6 color luffy means anyone who pulls conquest of the sea can play it, so you always gotta think about/watch out for it
definitely depends on which leader you play and the general curve of the set's/your pool's vanilla stat characters. IE if your best characters are even curve, you probably want second. If they're odd you probably want first. Then you can factor leader into it. For example, I like to play bonney 1 don off my curve, so I can tap out for a threat and keep 1 up for ability. But i did a full breakdown on bonney including what her best turn orders are that you can find linked in the description!
thats cool! though im a little confused how you consider everyone playing 1 and only 1 leader vs having a choice of leader less stale? Like just literally what you described is THE MOST stale
@@JoyBoysTCG is it? Because every set has a lot of Leader specific cards so it actually makes deck building more fun and diverse. With the other Leaders, your deck recipe is always the same.
@@yusei1996 In case 1 where you all play 6 color luffy, you just play every card with good text without consideration of risks/trade offs with your choice of other cards/leaders because all the cards have their locks removed by the luffy. In Case 2 where you select your own leader, you're able to weight risk/reward balances of leader and card selection and typically between different leaders you're going to lean to different deck configurations to support their unique ability or strategy. IE a Zoro deck in prerelease will look much different than a Kid deck which will look much different than a bonney deck which will look much different than a yamato deck (when built right) and that's BEFORE we look at leader/type locked cards and trading off benefits of unlocking them by playing whats typically (but not always) considered a "lower power" leader. For instance in this set you could argue to play edward newgate to take advantage of the blue whitebeard card package he isnt supposed to be played with but can now enable as a 6k leader.
personally I think the Chess + Kuromarimo combo on curve might just end the game in a lot of cases. There are more ko effects in this set especially for lower costs though...It's not as bad but in op07 I had three opponents drop Jinbe + Boa promo and it was just too much to overcome every time
pretty much everyone at our event put it in if they had the pieces, but I don't think anyone actually managed to fire off the combo. Would have been cool to see though!
It's definitely a good out to Bonney but you have to have a REALLY good pool to leverage it. Going to talk more about it next prerelease now that I got to play test with it and see it more in limited
Yeah like if everyone's playing bonney you're favored, but then the average food limited leader like kid and kata will cause you issues so it's a meta call
I don't really care about winning the winner card, I just care about being able to get a box. There's only enough product at my lgs for top 32 to be able to buy a box with a 64 cap.
oh interesting. Store around us just do their boxes on preorders, they don't tie it to the prerelease/top cut finishes in it. Doubly so best of luck then to earning your box o7
@JoyBoysTCG my lgs would do preorders but they never know how much product they're getting. Even if they order x amount of boxes, they usually get way less than they ordered.
great video on run down i will for sure use this for my event and any new ones you happen to make.

Great breakdown. Will consider these points if I’m able to get in for prerelease.
hope it works out for you! best of luck if so!
Kaido and Linlin is nuts game closer
totally
@@JoyBoysTCG Wonder if yamato might be a decent leader this time?
so my opinion is that theres a large number of cheap blockers and 2k counters where its disadvantaged, but its definitely worth a shot!
Curious on how much rainbow luffy would affect these. My shop only allows rainbow luffy for pre releases

Hyped
Would you rather go first or second in sealed? Or does it depend on which card curve you wanna play?

Im happy my LGS makes it so you have to use rainbow luffy or a leader you pull from set. Such a stale leader meta for sealed otherwise.

I won my pre release with vivi giving carrot and rayleigh rush was broken

Idk what to bring Bonney or zoro lol
The good news is you can bring both and you get to decide after you've opened your packs and decided which cards you want to play
@@JoyBoysTCG yeah that’s what I might do
At my locals. Our prerelease is 105$ but we get a whole BB and play no color. So its definitely worth the 105$
That's actually insane
