Burned out field and shorted armature. This drill was overworked, stalled and abused. Very impressive that you can rewind the motor yourself. Suggestions: 21:33 replace that O ring. The piston O ring is worn flat it will weaken the hammer. Also use a lighter grease. Its best to use OEM Makita grease but any gear grease with an NGLI 0 viscosity rating will do fine.
