It's a large piece of rock to travel such a long way :)

@@ExitThrutheGiftShop oh, I forgot to ask is it still moving. I don’t remember if you mentioned it.

@@SomeplaceOrAnother Once the glaciers fully melted the rock was left stranded and stationary. Afraid it hasn't run in quite a while.

This rock has an interesting natural geological history. But the legend is much more fun than the true story. Thanks for sharing the Okotoks Erratic with us!

I enjoy how these legends try to explain natural phenomenon. I guess it would have been hard to understand how such a big rock got the the middle of nowhere if you weren't aware of the ice age!

We enjoyed seeing and hearing about the Okotoks Erratic, Exit. Enjoyed the scientific explanation but loved the legend! Thanks so much for bringing us along. Of course, we're still thinking aliens!

Hi and thanks. "Exit Tru the Gift Shop" for taking us to OKOTOKS ERRATIC." Your drone footage really incorporates into the video and depicts the immersing size of the boulders which have been weathering and still even on this land. As always, I appreciate a very informative film. Well done. I need to watch more of your videos.😊😊

it's interesting to hear how these legends try to explain natural phenomenon. This one also has a moral: Don't take back what you have given.

I have been meaning to stop in there for a while now but never got the chance yet. Next time I am down that way I will. Worth the visit. Amazing how far it travelled.

It's hard to get a sense of scale on video. The Big Rock is even more amazing in person :)

Erratics are something that we have plenty of here in Nova Scotia for sure, but looks rather out of place in Oktotoks. A great share and explore! Bruce and Otis

@@ExitThrutheGiftShop It is a fantastic trip! I did the Trans Canada six times while I was teaching in BC and made trips back to NS in the summer to visit my parents.
