The penguin idea is cute. Instead of real ice you could make some square rocks out of clay. If the clay needs to be baked, bake them then paint them white. After that dries put clear drying glue all around them to make them look more real.
I like all of them, but if have to pick favorites, they would probably be the "mandala" stone and the eidpy flower stone (looked sort of like a dandelion gone to seed). Thanks for sharing all your great ideas with us!

Here in Buckingham, England there is something going round called bucks rocks were you paint rocks then hide them in public places for people to find then rehide them, I think these rocks would be great ideas!😄😆😀

What kind of paint did you use? And if I coated them with verathane varnish to make the colors permanent, I wonder if the colors would run while coating them.

Yes, but you can do some of the same designs or elaborated renditions on rocks as well. As an Ojibwe, I do ancient art in rocks but so far , I haven't used stones . These are pretty cool!❤

Also, if you are going to hide them outside you should seal them with a clear coat spray. Some people use mod podge.

What kind of paint did you use? And if I coated them with verathane varnish to make the colors permanent, I wonder if the colors would run while coating them.
Used acrylic colors to paint stones and I have always used varnish which comes in spray bottle for my crafts. That never affected my colors so far.
