Great video! One thing I would highly suggest is to never melt the coconut in the microwave. Either melt it with a double boiler or place your measuring cup in hot water to melt it. I will try this as I really like your recipe compared to others I have seen and read.
awesome. My granddaughter is part japanese & has curly hair from our side of the family & , love this very natural shampoo! Thanks so much for sharing! Beautiful hair you have !!! When I was an ob nursery nurse I loved washing the babies with curly hair...so soft.
If I can make a suggestion make your own coconut milk which will be slightly thinner so you won't have the heaviness from the canned product. Also strain the homemade coconut milk
Thank you!! I love peppermint, tea tree oils, and coconut milk!! It made my hair feel awesome! I found a cheaper organic version of peppermint shampoo at Walmart and used that with your ingredients and it works too. 😉🤗💟👍👍👍👍
good evening ! i have been doing some research and found that coconut milk may go bad after a short period of time?!? do you have any more info on this? God bless!
I agree. It does go bad. When I make this shampoo I only make enough for that one washday. It’s so quick and easy to make, I don’t mind making a fresh batch every washday😊
Your hair looks cute curly! I do understand that you get tired of it sometimes though. I have curly hair too. :Not nearly as curly as yours: So i like changing mine as well sometimes. Thanks for the diy!
Hi love your video. And love the DIY natural shampoo. Sounds great! Can you show how to make this recipe as a SHAMPOO BAR. This would be easier for travelers purposes. Thank you.
Suzanne John-George It shouldn't be if you add less coconut milk than I did. You can try using the castile soap as shampoo as an alternative I use it by itself on my hair and it's definitely one you only need a nickel size for.
Definitely just use the castile soap by itself then. It comes in a few other scents/oils and it's found in a few drugstores and specialty stores but Amazon has everything lol
hello loved the video I'm been res reaching sit shampoo n wanted to know for the castle soap is tht supposed to be the base for your soap cuz I was thinking of blending castle soap with shea butter n coco oil
Well it's better than having it dry I'm going to try this last time I just use Castile soap and essential oils and it made my hair dry which it was very bad experience lol

+Amanda Parttridge thanks and I'm glad you found an alternative to the castile soap, gotta admit it is a tad bit pricey lol
My hair got so oily and heavy after I did this I think I'll put less olive oil and more coconut milk

Your curls look bouncey soft 😊! My hair is straight without curl would my hair be stringy you think with this shampoo?
Soooooooo much better curly!! Gorgeous!!
You need a preservative the coconut milk would not last long! Glycerin is the best
AN. Chavez how long will it last after putting in glycerin?

ive been looking for a recipe like this for ages. awesome video.
Shampoo on dry hair? First time seeing it.
You're curls are so beautiful! If my hair were like that I would never ever straighten it.
Do u need to add a preservative?
I'd use castor oil rather than almond as castor oil helps hair growth and health.
hi
is this good for Fine hair?!
don't want to keep it if it's going to be grease on my no good fine hair lol

Since there is no preservative in it, it has a shelf life of the coconut milk.
