i have the controller where you have to put ur phone on top and in the control settings you can adjust the rates of the different controls for cine, normal and sport modes. can you do the same when flying in manual mode/fpv mode? ive seen a couple videos of the neo fpv flying and its seems to fly like a bit of a boat. it can do flips ect but struggles to pull its self out of a backflip, still a great drone for the price. i hope to one day be able to afford a set of goggles and a controller, its a shame you need a whole other controller for fpv flying :(

All of the DJI drones focus more on Sunday-driver flying them acrobatics. Their range and battery life are amazing. They won't go up a mountain, due to that stupid attitude limit, but you can get stupid-far out with them. I'm still learning how to do full-manual flying, so I think I'll stick with my tiny Whoop for acro mode. The Neo would actually be the worst drone to practice Acro on, because it's fragile and underpowered to save itself from a loop.
It is unfortunate you can't use the cinematic controller for FPV, but technically the FPV controller talks to the headset, and the headset talks to the drone. This is unlike the cinematic controllers, which talk to the drone directly. I believe that's the reason why you can use your old controller.
I suppose it doesn't hurt DJI's feelings it also forces you to buy another controller. :/

Both the Neo and the Avata are no drones for flying acro. They are good for learning manual flying for sure. But after learning to fly manually and wanna go for acro, buy a drone which is capable of this. My 2 cents.

@@SpeedsterIG I think you might be wrong on almost every point. For starters the neo is not good for learning how to fly manual, as it is apparently very fragile. The whoop I use in other videos is more suited for crashes. Also I'm not too sure how much equipment you expect me to pack around. If I take my DJI equipment to a location I can fly around for at least an hour. Even with eight batteries I can't pilot my whoop for more than 12 minutes.
