In the video you mentioned how it’s almost better to not minstrel an impermanence because he will have access to it on the fallowing turn and will bait out the toad or negate Lancea but that’s simply not true. Why ? Because the end board put it’s boss monster underneath King Neptabyss which protects from targeting effects. You really don’t care about a followback impermanence. He would need to have 3 impermanence to fully negate your board.(1 for King Neptabyss 1 for Toad 1 for Lancea) Which at that point puts him on 1 card to combo but he still wouldn’t have dealt with the board, Lancea’s potential Trishula and Abyssrhine pop. You really don’t mind using moulinglacia as an extender. I almost 90% of the time link off mouling into King Neptabyss. You are not under any preassure to win the game on the spot. Their hand is completely depleted from Raiho. What are they going to do with there extra draw ? Even if he deals with the board, they would have to deal with a trishula hitting the board from Lancea, a pop from infantry into a draw, a recycle from toad, a search from King Neptabyss and your draw for turn. That’s a 4 card hand on your fallowing turn assuming you’ve spent your entire hand the turn before which shouldn’t happen. That’s why this deck performs really well into board breakers. Your interruptions are untargetable, they start with 4 cards in hand, if they droplet, they have to spend 2 other cards to stop Lancea and Toad, which means they have to combo with 1 and they still haven’t dealt with the board itself nor Lancea’s ability to trish them and abyssrhine banish/pop. If they dark ruler they have 3 cards in hand to combo, they still need to deal with a potential trish, and abyssrhine pop you 100% don’t die because of dark ruler’s condition and you most likely gain followup from Toad/King Neptabyss/draw 1 from abyssrhine / draw 1 from turn. Even if you don’t have a battle phase your trying to go into poseidra bounce back there board and re-establish a Lancia. I think a cool idea for this deck would be to try siding going second engine (like an extra infantry / megalo / maybe triana) to improve the engine when you know for sure you’re going second. You ALWAYS want to minstrel if your hand makes it possible !
Tht makes alot of sense actually. U really did cover ur basis here. I wish I did a better job of showcasing the list. I definitely take for granted the target protection from King and the pressure Lancea/ General provide
It’s really just a different mindset from normal Mermail. For instance after rewatching the video Game 3 you went full combo with prince and got impermanenced on bahamut shark. You still could of ended on King Neptabyss / Lancea, Abyssrhine pop / with 4 cards in hand. Instead of Gaios / Lancia / Anemone / 2 card in hand (infantry pop).
@Marvin_Red yeah for sure! It's annoying to cus I watch these throughout the week and it's just I kinda wanna run this deck back. I would if I was able to play multiple locals a week
@@deepseaygo250You’ll probably learn something new from playing a different list ! I like this challenge, if you could submit your next list before Saturday 12pm Eastern time I’d like to play the same thing !
Nothing has really changed form the standard normal summon prince combo. Wht ths deck allows is the ability to play all the additoinal extenders like gunde for teus, fishes for deepseking, and xyz armored shark so you hvae the most amount of options going first
Euh wrong list for this one @deepseaygo250 The main combo with Prince = 2 cards hand rip / Lancea / Toad under Mermail King / infantry pop set up (in the gy) add it back via toad
@BryanCastellanos-r7v yeah I was incorrect! The main combo u wanna go for is standard prince into bahaumt toad, into moulin. The big difference is u wanna search for Ran in lieu if teus of deepseakimg and setup an icebarrier lancea, then make mermail king with toad, lancea, and the soon to be summed ice barrier general under for target protection
@@BryanCastellanos-r7v Yes, if u dont open an additonal extender like teus. the targeting protectin is really important and, u think abut how they have 4 cards in hand if they dont handtrap, then u ahve toad forsafety and follow up while lanceas jsut floods them out the game and then its floats! Its actually disgusting and probly the best way to water
Yo man, I could be wrong but in game 2 did your opp just re-link Raging Phoenix using itself without having the field spell activated?
Umm I think Heatsoul let's him relink, pretty sure thts it's name
@deepseaygo250 uhh you're right, I forgot it does that even tho I play the deck in MD😅
Very die roll dependent
Super!
