This 4-cylinder motor will outlast all other engines in this category and will be the most easy to repair and maintain.
Honda has the most useful connected app features in its app tray and was the first to bring this to the segment three years back.
The Verna maybe 5* rated but its body shell was labelled UNSTABLE, unlike the City.
Ventilated seats are the biggest gimmick in the market. Fans under the seat don’t do much good and aren’t needed if your AC is good. The City has one of the more powerful AC in the class and there just seems to be no need for gimmicks like those.
ADAS is only standard on the city except for the base variant. On the eway, there is nothing better to be driven with ADAS.
Their own Elevate eated into City's sales
My advice to continue selling City:
Bring the price 50k below Elevate on all variants and with base model under the 10L price bracket to prevent the additional 70k road tax(that is used to give us flat roads, roads are supposed to be flat right, unless there is a speed breaker)
Increase the width of Honda City by minimum 50mm
Give all 4 disc brakes from base
Increase GC by 10mm(makes it 175mm, vw have 179mm) but this helps quite a lot to deal with Indian roads
Not really.. They have to come up with great improvements where they are lacking.. Just by fancy updates will not help to win hearts. Gone are the days, just use ivetec USP to sell product. Otherwise verna will kill as they do have good after sales and good engine.
The car is packed with ADAS at the lowest price point. Ergonomics is extremely good. I choose this over verna as it had far better features at on road price below 20 Laks. Unfortunately most folks don’t understand ADAS and get stuck will trivia features.
This car is great because of adas, honda connect and small interventions of technology. Unfortunately the dealers are bad in bringing out these things.
Honda better up their game if they wanna stay in the Indian market
Next gen should have the fancy handles that pop out like Teslas

Reasons not to consider:
1. Narrow width. Looks too narrow from the front and back.
2. Non-ventilated seats
3. Low ground clearance
4. Rattling noise. Poor insulation.
5. Outdated design.
6. Undersized tyres. Too thin and narrow.
Looks are subjective,
Ac's are super chilled,
Try damping,
No issues with GC sinsce 1,76.535 lakh kilometre,
What a design,
Upgrade tyre.

At this price they could have incorporated ventilated front seats. Another lacuna is the sagging armrest of the rear seat
Not relevant anymore, update the interiors and features asap if they want to even survive, Verna has started eating out all the cars in the segment like a cake.

Not that huge difference in the interiors keep both of them side by side and u will realize , but yes infotaintment system feels outdated in city
It’s lost the upmarket feel and appeal for the younger generation. The city needs a major refresh soon . Features and interiors need to be updated asap else the verna , Slavia and Virtus are the only relevant players . Verna is reliable as well and powerful and now with the updated gncap 5 star safety rating the city is just not there anymore
