I came looking for this video after a news article I read. A woman's daughter called her saying she'd been kidnapped & then a man gets on phone request a ransom. Long story short, the daughter was actually safe @ work 🤷🏾.
Great vid, thank you! To the point at the end of the video about protecting our voices and such, the US Government (and others) need to move quickly and enact protections for individual digital likenesses, voices, and so on.
As a Voice-Over Engineer & Vocal Producer, I'd suggest making some parts faster than others, and not just speeding it all up by 120% etc... I hear the artifacts. Plus, no one really speaks that consistently fast. Maybe truncate the parts you're more excited about, and keep some of the slower sections to imply you're thinking about what your'e saying as you're saying it, adding natural pauses and hitches. Nonetheless, It does sound much better when you comp a few together! Nice video
Remember what you're doing here is dangerous bro. Your voice is yours and no-one elses until you willfully submit it to AI It's fun for now until it's used against you in ways you can't personally comprehend yet. Not spreading fear, just spreading intellectual discernment
This is why I went on a bit of a little rant on why people should be careful. ElevenLabs does collect voice data but they aren't simply allowed to use your voice for their own commercial purposes without your consent. I do not plan on licensing out my voice as a voice actor to companies for commercial use. The jokes about it stealing my job are mostly tongue in cheek. The reality is, this isn't going anywhere and will only become more prevalent. I think its important to be on top of these things and actually understand how they work rather than try and ignore their existence.
You don’t think your voice has been recorded and is already in the system? 😂 If you have talked on a phone, used Siri, google talk to text, or ever made a video that’s public.. your voice is already documented my friend
... Props for having a vintage typewriter!

this video was incredibly helpful and informative. thank you!

Nice video, does it work for live speech?
I’m trying to upload a video (40 seconds) and it keeps saying it’s too big. Confused on what to do.
Wav or mp3 files only
What are your thoughts on the ability to use it in an actual phone call?
you cloned the letterboxd logo too! 😅
I can't clone a voice it's just in starter plane!!!!
Dumb... I want to clone my voice using my own LLM on my own machine, not on someone else server
