This game is the source of one of my favorite gaming memories. I got it for Xmas one year and my dad saw me playing it one day and thought it looked really fun, so he asked if he could try it. He really enjoyed playing it. One afternoon, I'm sitting in my room playing and he comes in and we decide to play two players in advance mode. We spent the entire afternoon playing and beat all 100 levels of it. It was great. My dad and I don't really talk very often anymore, but that's still one of my favorite video game memories.
I grew up with bombastic, and I definitely can say, barely anybody knows this game exists and it kind of makes me sad. Also, along with the bombing island game for the PS1 :(
You really should play through the quest mode. The final world is awesome along with the final boss, as frustrating as it may be. Plus you unlock advanced mode which is awesome!
I saw this game at a local video rental store which has since gone out of business when it first came out in 2003 and I thought, "Hmm, this looks like fun." So I rented it on a whim, and I popped it into my PS2 and the moment I did, I knew this was going to be an explosively good time and I knew this would be one game that I would want to own. A few weeks later I saw the game at a local GameStop, grabbed it, took it to the checker, and said "TAKE MY MONEY!!" It's such a fun game. My best combo in Trial Mode is about 750. I don't look for just 6s, though. I look for combos wherever I can find them. A highly-addictive puzzle game and I still have it along with the same PS2.
I had found this game because there were 7 bot accounts having stolen bluecrimson's videos of the game, the chances I would stumble on something that looks just like my niche; simple mechanic but with a lot of depth. I want to try it now, thanks for showing what it's about.
Incredible game. My friends and I battled for hours years ago. The quest mode is tricky. The classic mode is refreshingly different too. As you can end up on the floor and push dice.
It's difficult to find someone with the ability to play this game. It's mainly because they prefer their fps games and they can't grasp the concept well enough to be a real challenge.
(EDIT) - I have a question that has confused me for a while now. Is Bombastic a North American game or is it from Western Europe? I don't get it at all.
No video should say "you've never heard of" because theres a couple of people that might have heard of it. I had this game as a kid and I remember it. I didn't like it that much back then so I sold it to a local electronics store. Wish I didn't. Good thing emulators exist.
I remember playing this a ton. Mostly the mode you showed, in coop. The two of us got _amazing_ at it, not just the core mechanics but how to coordinate two players on it. Think it was Capcom rather than Sony?
This game does indeed look like fun and your strategy does seem to be a solid one, so don't knock yourself for what is seemingly working on here, okay? Oh, and by the way, if you do ever get the chance to go at a puzzle game, give Lumines Plus for the PS2 a whirl if it is available in PAL regions, okay? Oh, and one more thing, there is a prequel to this game for the PS1 that is worth checking out and it is called Devil Dice.
I am completely terrible at this game. Keeping track of the sides of dice just never clicks for me. You seem to have some pretty good strategies, though!

Also, Sony published it in Japan, while Capcom published it everywhere else. And it was developed by an indie company called Shift.
This game was referenced in Astro Bot, and I was so elated. I completely forgot about it, and now I'm here relearning about my former love!
This is one of the most hardest but yet addictive games ever played guaranteed they should bring it back for the PS4

This is one of my absolute favorite games of all time. And I’m actually playing it right now
love this game so much too, so glad to watch this clip.
Loved Devil Dice!

Just ordered this online among other games! This was a whopping... $6. Suffice to say, I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to playing this.

oh god that frenetic song. one of my favorite games
I love this game! I just ordered a another copy since my first one seen better days. Think this is a game in need of a rebirth.
I had this game, and it's a true rarity!
I have bombastic and devil dice and I slay those dice! 🎲!
Alea jacta est!

People hardly ever mention this game.
Incredible game
Bombastic is incredible. In particular the limited mode.
Is there a puzzle mode like in Devil Dice?

just found that Dice Jockey is very similar! without the little devil!
Looks pretty cool.
God i remember this👏🏻😳🤣
The sequel to Devil Dice!
I remember getting this game as a Christmas gift and I played the shit out of the game. It was addicting until my PS2 Broke.
This works so much different than devil dice. Long time to make combos instead of them disappearing quickly is very strange. Not sure I like that.
I loved the first game, Devil Dice, I enjoyed the demo and I rented the full game once, and I remember Bombastic being reviewed on Gamezville!
I am completely terrible at this game. Keeping track of the sides of dice just never clicks for me. You seem to have some pretty good strategies, though!
I think i am the best limited run player. at his in the world, i've never seen anyone get a higher score than mine, 620,000. anyone else beat that?
Challenge accepted!
🤣 Lol
Looks hard
is this available on ps4 in any medium?
by Capcom
i love this game but the character makes me feel dizzy, she turns around all the time. If it had been just the dice.... then wow
