I’m Samoan. I’m not sure how I got here but I do love REAL histories of Pacific Islander Peoples and nations. The colonizers have done their best to erase our histories and knowledge and therefore our power. Good for you Hawaii.

So excited to here about the over throw of Hawaii'i. I have had 6 Hawai'ian children, including twins. Having had those children, I feel I have had the Hawai'ian ethnicity in me. Even though my husband left me when my oldest was 11 and my youngest were twin boys who were 6 weeks old. I felt like I had a brick wall fall on me. I chose to go back to college and graduated with a degree in Political Science, History and English. That being said, I have had a great interest in Hawai'ian History and politics. I don't feel that just because my ex-husband left me to raise my children alone, that I no longer have a connection to the Hawai'ian culture. I have made sure my children have kept a close tie to the Hawai'ian culture.

Just visited a couple islands and all the locals made it real clear tourists, "mainlanders," and some other names I can't recall aren't welcome. From the bumper stickers to the billboards to the loudspeakers on the beaches chanting, "we aren't American," and "F#@K the white man," infront of everyone's children it was a pretty clear how they felt. Naturally I wanted to learn why they felt that way but for fear of my life I didn't dare speak to a local and ask them to educate me. The protest agitator on the loud speaker seemed very knowledgeable but given she was encouraging the crowd of locals to become violent against the tourists enjoying a beautiful day on the beach as a means of returning Hawaii's sovereignty, I felt it wouldn't a good time to learn either. This is how I have come across this video and videos like it. Thank you for the enlightenment! I will use this in conjunction with how we were treated by the locals during our trip to educate my children, friends, and family on how America stole Hawaii and why we should not trespass by visiting the islands. I find it imperative to return Hawaii's sovereignty and in accordance with the locals wishes my family and I will never again return to Hawaii. I will further assist Hawaiians by passing along this history lesson to all my friends and family in an effort to help them respect the people of Hawaii by no longer imposing on their home and land.

Wow I have a similar story. I’m Micronesian, I moved to Hawaii completely oblivious to the fact that Micronesians and White peoples are battling it out for most hated on the island. I had to do research to know why all the hate. So even though my experience was fucked up and I been called every name under the sun and been a few scuffles here and there ps Hawaiians can fight like a mf. it’s Hawaiian history that got me to be ok with what I experienced and chucked it up to displaced outrage and outrage is a natural emotion for a Hawaiian who now his/her history.

"The idea prevails with some, indeed it has expression in arguments at the bar, that we have in this country substantially two national governments; one to be maintained under the Constitution, with all its restrictions; the other to be maintained by Congress outside and independently of that instrument, by exercising such powers as other nations of the earth are accustomed to... I take leave to say that, if the principles thus announced should ever receive the sanctions of a majority of this court, a radical and mischievous change in our system will result. We will, in that event, pass from the era of constitutional liberty guarded and protected by a written constitution into era of legislative absolutism... It will be an evil day for American Liberty if the theory of a government outside the Supreme Law of the Land finds lodgment in our Constitutional Jurisprudence. No higher duty rests upon this court than to exert its full authority to prevent all violation of the principles of the Constitution."
--Honorable Supreme Court Justice John Marshall Harlan--- in the 1901 case of Downes v. Bidwell, 182 U.S. 244.
Next to revenue (taxes) itself, the late extensions of the jurisdiction of the admiralty are our greatest grievance. The American Courts of Admiralty seem to be forming by degrees into a system that is to overturn our Constitution and to deprive us of our best inheritance, the law of the land. It would be thought in England a dangerous innovation if the trial, of any matter on land was given to the admiralty"
    Jackson v. Magnolia, 20 How. 296 315, 342 (U.S. 1852)

I am so glad I am here in the USA..if these Hawaiians offend you and you live here in the United States(NOT HAWAII)...do what I did...FIRE them from your place of business. I fired 2 individuals..they didn't know the reason why, it is so easy after all to find an excuse..one was a lady who had one year left before retirement. She cried all the way out the door. Everytime I think I may have been too harsh, I watch these Hawaiians and I feel better knowing I fired them. Trust me after watching them..laying them off feels SO good..

@@lilyacaincoldwellbankerisl5459 No the reason why your natives are feeling the oppression is because they don't want to LEARN anything...if the United States left..the Chinese would just come along and pay your leaders X-billion dollars to build a base...I know it's easy and lucrative to hate white people..I mean I am Jewish and I won $240,000 in a lawsuit "fighting" antisemitism that consisted of bring up the Holocaust 8 times to make a jury feel guilty.
