Gday mate, I’m new to salty fishing. I’m heading up to cairns in 8 days and really want to catch some salt water fish. What will I be catching? Or atleast trying to catch. Lures softplastics or hardbodies,

you can catch barra, trevally, fingermark, flathead, queenfish and many more from the walls around the the harbour in cairns. I would use prawns if you cant get live bait and just flick a lure around why having a bait in the water

I think it was a mid to high tide.. there is always water there so you can fish it any time

@@cypersap3300 you can catch nice fish there but its a heavy traffic area so it can be hard at times to.. If your looking for some where in town there or the marina at the very end would be your best bet. but if you willing to travel try palm cove jetty.
