    The day in the life here applies to more fundamental L/S equity HFs right? Macro/Distressed/Market Making/Alt Strats may have a different schedule since they look at different things and might not be as concerned with individual earning calls

      yea he forgot to mention its for L/S MMHF (multi manager HFs) which takes up roughly 5-10% of the HF pool. MMHFs differ b/c they use multiple teams w/ quant models, not relying on the discretionary market insights (e.g not holistic naunces of global macro as proxies or str8 up quant/pods, etc), so this is negating the other 90% of HFs

    hey, i want to get into finance as i enjoy looking at market trends and love math and programming. The main thing i would want if i were to work in finance is to have a job that revolves around programming or math-related work. From what I've found online, from the 3 buy-side types of firms, Quantitative Hedge Funds are the most grounded in fields like stochastic calculus and machine learning. Is this true? and would a "day in the life' of a quantitative HF analyst look different to this L/S hedge fund?

    Very good and informative video. I want to ask you, what's the time horizon on average for any investment idea ? Also do you trade around the core position of a stock (I know it's the role of the PM with the trader). Another question, does it happen for you to take a position in a stock for few weeks to couple month to "play" earnings momentum for the one to 3 next quarters ?

      @Jesus4ever33 20 дней назад

      @ Dude, you’re making a video about how a typical day of a hedge fund analyst goes, and you’re not even one yourself. I think you’d have more details to add and a better understanding/comprehension of what a hedge fund analyst is about if you actually were one. Like why even make a video about it if you don’t have any interest in becoming one yourself? For example, as a Christian I could make a video about a day in the life of a Satanist, but why the heck would I? It’d be odd that I’d have that interest. Just saying that if you don’t actually have the experience of doing something and you make a video that goes into detail about that subject matter, how reliable really is it? Wouldn’t someone find it more reliable and interesting to watch a video about something that someone actually has a vested interest in? Answer those questions. You can have a video up of something you don’t involve yourself in, but why even bother? You just seem to have a peculiar way about yourself, and I’m just interested to find out why that is. Lol, I’m done.
