I really like Jackson Beck’s voice! I try to find other OTR programs in which he’s acted. His voice really stands out. Just heard him on a Boston Blackie episode and he played the killer.
Janice Jenkins Beck's voice was instantly recognisable, even when he played various characters. Italian gangster, Chinese sage, old time desert rat- you can always tell it's him. So authoritative was his delivery that he was often selected to narrate films and tv episodes. In fact, in an inspired choice, Woody Allen hired Beck to do the voiceover for his early comedy, Take the Money and Run. Beck treats the script with complete seriousness, which produces big laughs.
I don't know who wrote Vance but he comes across like he's as camp as tents! You can almost hear him swish! At least I learnt why nobody likes me - I stink. Who knew? Thank you, Lifebuoy!! As for that dreadful organ music padding out the end when they run out of dialogue. Eeeeee!! 😊
@@BurgerCity I actually enjoy the organ music personally. It's so quaint so from another time. It adds to the charm of the show. But I get that it isn't everyone's favorite!🙂
The organ music was a distraction I agree especially when it went on for a long time. However did enjoy the plays very much. After writing this, there was no organ music at all.
