  • KASULAMPID is a traditional Maranao/Maguindanao ethnic composition by which the Kulintang is played by means of complex crisscrossing technique mimicking the traditional art of weaving mats, baskets, or even the traditional malong Landap cloth. The music ensemble is composed of the KULINTANG (8 graduated pot gongs), DABAKAN (single-headed drum), AGUNG (two wide-rimmed, vertically suspended gongs), GANDINGAN (set of four large, hanging gongs), and BABENDIL (single, narrow-rimmed gong that primarily serves as timekeeper).
