Not alot of comtemporary sax players out there growl like that. If you did a solo record with some original tunes I bet you would be really sucessful. You have a really unique sound.

This is no insult, just observation. I feel like because you growled pretty much that whole song, when you went for some of those awesome high notes they didn't have the same effect as they usually would with specifically timed growling for those big moments.. Either way tho, it was pretty sweet

Cody Blair while playing your sax you want to make like a growling noise in your throat. Many people have different ways to growling. The way i find easiest is to hum awhile playing. Hope this helped

I think he uses a Jazz mouthpiece instead of a standard mouthpiece for the sax. :)
